Yes, they do work on DW 5,000 and DW 6,000 This is the DW 9,000 series pedal! The system works great! Thank you for helping so much! It was smooth and precise! It was solid! A lower series is not worth the purchase! Work for DW 4,086 series, but don't work for it!
I use it with my DW 9000 and it works very well. If you had a 5000, I believe it would work
It's not clear to me. The PDP pedal may use the same shaft configuration as the DW pedals, since they fit the DW pedals. DW produces a thin driveshaft for its "Concept" models, such as the PDDPCXFD or the PDDPCXF, but the ones for the Concept models look thicker than that supplied by DW. The truth is that I do not If it doesn't fit, you'll never know unless you buy it and try to fit it, and if it doesn't fit, be prepared to send it back.
Due to the female end of the universal version not fitting the DW pedals, there is a DW specific version available. You should be able to wear the universal on. The following is a side The guys at Trick were actually very nice to me. I would recommend them if you have any questions or concerns. They are really cool and willing to help.
Selected User Reviews For Trick Drums 5.0 Drive Shaft for DW Double Pedals
The other commenters said it was like playing the same pedal on both sides at the same time. The truth is out there. Because the slave pedal requires so little effort, I've had to become accustomed to how smooth and quick it is. I should pay more attention to my double pedal parts as it does not take as much effort as before. There was so much slop in the old shaft joints that it actually raised the footboard about half an inch. A small adjustment had to be made to the chain to lower it. There is no reason why you should regret it.
In any case, I got it in order to replace an old drive shaft for my Dw 9000 that had become squeaky and As far as responding to the slave pedal is concerned, I've never been satisfied. The response of my pedal has markedly improved after placing this trick shaft on it. The pedal now feels smoother and responds well. There's no other way to describe it. The upgrade has made my old 9000 disk play like new again and I've also noticed that my speed has increased. The drive shaft is an obvious improvement over the stock DW drive shaft and well worth the price.
It is all true what the other reviews say. Why I waited years to buy this for my DW 9000 is a mystery to me. There is no difference in the feel between the primary and secondary pedals. The lag should be zero, the slop zero, and the power should equal. Do this test if you are wondering whether or not your current pedal has slop
Hold the cam of your secondary pedal still for a moment. You can now try moving the associated beater with your other hand. Most double pedals have the beater wiggle back and forth about 1/4" to 1/2" while you are still holding the secondary cam in place. As long as you don't move the cam in conjunction with the drive shaft, there is no movement of the beater. Energy transfer of that proportion is as close to 100 percent as possible. Do your best to double-check everything Don't forget to pick up this track if you're bass drumming.
This new slave pedal has no play in the u joints, gives my double kick a much more solid feel and completely cleans up my double kick.
As a result of using a pair of single pedals in separate bass drums, I have found my left pedal to be quite light.
My purchase of this shaft included a direct drive concept from PDP. If I had an $800 bass pedal for $350, I would feel like I had an $800 bass pedal. There is a feeling this will last for a very.
I would highly recommend purchasing this pedal if you have a DW, it makes a massive difference in the feel, it feels like you have The lag caused by the slave pedal is wiped out.
