Questions & Answers

What is the difference between this pedal and the Iron Cobra 600? Is there anyone who has used both pedals before? Tks! ?

The iron cobra is a great pedal, but the DW is smoother in my opinion. I didn't have the funds to purchase the 9000 series, but if you do, the 9000 is truly incredible. For my current needs, the 3000 is ideal.

Is it longboards? What is the size of the footboard?

I'm not sure what size they are, but they aren't very long.

Is it possible to use the dw felt beaters instead?

On one side, they're felted, while on the other, they're plastic. Take an old car and measure the size of the tires you want to replace.

Is there a problem with this pedal "sliding" forward when using an E drum kit? It appears that E drums have a problem. ?

Adam T. Even an electronic kit, I'm sure, needs some kind of carpet underneath it for the kick and hi-fi. Hat pedals are a type of pedal.

My first kit was a double bass kit, and I've been playing the drums for 28 years
5/5

After 8 years, I went back to a single bass kit. For the past 20 years, I've been using a dw7000 double pedal. So I'm no stranger to double bass drumming with one or two bass drums, and I know that double pedals aren't cheap, and you usually get what you pay for. I'd always wanted a DW9000 or an Axis double pedal and assumed I'd get one next, but mine broke at the worst possible time for me financially, and I had to replace it in a matter of days. Unfortunately, this wasn't a floor model I got to try out after reading almost every comment, watching YouTube videos, and visiting two local music stores. I made the decision to order this pedal after crossing my fingers. I was correct in my choice. This pedal has been described as sluggish by some reviewers. My feet were sluggish right out of the box, but after adjusting the beater position and springs, they were flying like they always were. I like how the dual chain keeps the pedal from rocking from side to side, which always happened on my 7000s when I loosened the screws that connected the pedal platebr>br>I won't knock off a star for this because I'm reviewing the pedal for its performance, features, and price. Despite my praise for this product, I can tell you that the housing metal, odds and ends, and the connecting rod are cheap metal and may not survive a tour if you dragged it around.

It's light and fast, with a nice weight to it
5/5

I wanted something with a little more weight and speed because I've been playing on a classic Slingerland with a leather or nylon strap. I was looking for a certain vibe, and this one fits the bill. I had some previous experience with this pedal from a Pearl Export series church drum set. I use a Yamaha Stage Custom, which is one of the best drum sets available. It's the mid-to-late 1990s, and I thought the right kick was required. This set has a rich, resonant bass. I experimented with various pedals before settling on the DW 3000. Its features make it extremely adaptable, allowing you to make all of the necessary adjustments and more. I play jazz and fusion, but my newer material is more rock-oriented, so there are times when you need the drive, which this pedal provides. It's reasonably priced and capable of handling almost any task you throw at it. It's also something I use on my e-mail. Drums, with a very stable and solid foundation. It doesn't move from its original location. The bearing is extremely smooth in operation. The dual mallet is ideal for a variety of tasks. I switch it up frequently, but I can't decide which side I prefer because I like both. It's one of the best out there, in any case, and it's a no-brainer for the money. Advantages: br>br> It's quick and just the right amount of weight.
Cons: none. Should I purchase it? br> Yes, you will not be disappointed, and it feels just as good to me as the high-end pedals that cost much more but aren't really that much better. There will be plenty of satisfied drummers as long as they keep making it. One of them is certainly me.

A crucial component is missing
3/5

This item was required for a upcoming important show. Because of the box graphics, I almost assumed it was the Righty model, but it was a Lefty, just as I had requested. Everything appears to be of good quality, but there is one major flaw: each of the two beaters comes in its own bag, and each beater is supposed to come with a beater memory lock. One, however, did not have it. It was nowhere to be found in the bag or the box. Because it's missing, the beater isn't as secure, and it's currently unplayable due to the missing 2 pound piece. br>br>I contacted Amazon, and they were extremely helpful in providing me with a credit to purchase the missing piece separately, but it won't be delivered for another week. DW's quality control has left me very disappointed.

Smooth, flawless, and with a double chain, this is a dream come true
5/5

This purchase took me over two weeks to decide; I had several options, including mapex, tama iron cobra jr, pearl eliminator, this one, and many others I saw that were attractive for the price; however, after some consideration, I decided to go with a good brand, with a budget of $200 to $300. So there were only two choices: this one or eliminator. After much deliberation, I chose this one, and I was blown away by the product's quality: it's soft, smooth, and allows you to be fast and precise. This is the best option for those on a tight budget, as it provides the same quality as brands that cost twice as much. For example, I tested some yamaha, gibralter, and other brands, all of which were acceptable in terms of price but not in terms of quality. So, I recommend this to anyone who wants to take their drumming seriously. br>Think about it: great price, great quality, and quick shipping. I'm loving every minute of my new acquisition.

This is a fantastic set of pedals
5/5

I tried a few different, less expensive models before returning them all. This item is well worth the cost. I've been hammering on them for a while, and they're still going strong, despite the fact that the main (felt) beater is a little flatter (I use it more). I enjoy playing double bass, and these pedals allow me to play at a high speed while maintaining control.

I have a small issue with the main pedal in that the chain gear can catch my toes when I play barefoot or in socks
4/5

Good Pedals, both are fairly adjustable and very responsive. It hasn't helped to adjust things. I should point out that I am a large size 13-year-old woman. 14 feet. br>br>Intriguingly, when I purchased these from Amazon, an additional Prime discount was applied, knocking another $25 off the already reduced price; I've since seen that discount on a couple of items but have no idea how to search for items with that additional discount.

Fantastic craftsmanship and balance - you'll find everything you're looking for in
5/5

Fantastic craftsmanship and balance - In a double pedal, this pedal has everything you're looking for. When locked into the mounting plate, this fits an Alesis Strike Pro kick drum. There's plenty of room to adjust the distance between the remote pedal and the floor. If you're buying this as an electronic kit, the only thing I'd change is the beaters. I was fortunate enough to have the red rubber-banded shoes on hand. I only use the DWSM107 sided beaters that came with my original DW2000 pedals. I recommend getting a pair, or the DWSM101, to go with this pedal kit. For a few dollars less, Kat and PD both have comparable beaters.
