As far as I know, the liners are infallible, but the drums are secured by strategically placed padding on the inside of the cases. I'm not sure if they're flight-safe. It is not guaranteed that the drums will stay in the cases (which I doubt), but I personally would not mind carrying my drums on a plane in my Hardcasses. These two straps allow you to tighten down on the drum quite snugly, and they remain tight at all times. traveled with mine in a van filled with a lot of people and my drums have been protected well.
This is a great case and will fit your 20 x 22 bass drum! If I had gotten them sooner, I would have enjoyed them

The drummer who uses it highly recommends it. This is an incredibly impressive set of cases across the board- The material is tough, cool, and breathable I love how it looks, and how easy it is As they are adjustable for width (as SKBs, which I almost bought, are not), they can accomplish two 2) I am able to fit my 22" kick drums into the same case with an easy adjustment of the width, even though each one is very different in size. It is very easy to adjust the case width so I can accommodate the two 16" floor toms in the same case even though their widths are different. No matter what the width is, all of my snares (all the same size) are able to go into my As you can see, the point is made. **
2) It makes it possible to make the drums fit perfectly They put in enough cushion with their foam grips inside to ensure optimum protection (I was concerned about the lack of cushion inside but it turns out that it's just right- The drums will not move as long as the straps are tightened). Storing and packing them in the van is easy with these devices because they stack neatly on top of one another. Additionally, I like that they are made in a small city in England, and the cases do not have holes, like one reviewer said, nor did they need to be cleaned, as another reviewer said. It must have been simple to resolve those two issues. There was only one complaint I had, which was that these cases come in many different and weird colors, but black was the only color on offer There's nothing to worry about - It won't be long before I find my puke green ones.
I bought them for him. Now he doesn't have to make so many trips because the bins are stacked. There is one large one with wheels and they stack like Legos. It's kind of like that. Furthermore, it is much faster and easier to load the drums and stores much more.
Although the cases are really nice, the bass drum case is the only reason to give them 3 stars. The top and bottom of the container have handles that are not sealed off from the environment. When you're returning from a gig and have your drums in the bed of your truck, you might want to make sure it doesn't rain too heavy because the kick drum is absorbing water. That's what I did to seal up those holes.
I ordered the standard kit for my kit which has 10”, 12”, 16”, 14" snare and 22 x 20 kick drum and they all fit perfectly. There is something I really like about the tall lids, enabling the cases to fit almost The drum cases are great and I would definitely buy them again if I ever had to buy more!.
