On Amazon, I bought a set of four "Rubbermaid Easy Release Ice Cube Tray white." This ice cube bin, with the number 2862, was also purchased. The label specifies a size of 12, as well. 1"x5. 5"x6. 12". 2862 and 14 are the imprinted numbers on the bottom of the bin. br>As a point of reference, I have a Rubbermaid ice bin on hand with the numbers 2862 and 16 imprinted on the bottom, which I believe I purchased years ago. It appears that they are both from the same bin. Moreover, neither of the tops can accommodate the ice cube trays.
12" long, 5 1/4" wide, and 6" tall are the exterior dimensions. br>The interior dimensions are 10" long, 4 1/2" wide, and 5 7/8" deep (there's a 1/8" indent on the bottom, so it's not 6" deep on the inside). The interior dimensions at the bottom are 8 3/4" long, 3 3/8" wide, and 5 7/8" deep, due to the inward slope of the sides. br>I'm not sure what you plan to do with these containers, but you could try searching Amazon for "interdesign linus pantry organizer" (or just "interdesign linus organizer" - if you want to be more specific). The name of the company is InterDesign.
At a different store, I discovered some. I don't believe they're available on Amazon. Mine were purchased at a discount store and are blue and plastic, perfectly fitting the top of my bin.
Since 2009, no BPS has been used in any Rubbermaid product.

I've never owned a plastic bin as amazing as this one. When I took it out of the box, it made me cry. As if it were a new mother cradling a litter of babies, it holds my cubes in its arms. When you take a cube out, you can almost feel its sadness.
When did Rubbermaid decide to change the dimensions of this, as well as the dimensions of their white twistable ice trays? Those trays used to fit perfectly into the top rim of their bins, which served as a lid, a way to keep the trays stacked neatly, and a way to keep ice out of the air circulation in the freezer. That is no longer the case. "Progress" isn't always what it appears to be. It's not always possible to improve on perfection. One of those occasions has arrived.
Perfect size for my smaller freezer while still accommodating the trays I have. Its extended edges act as a handle, making it easier to put in and take out of the freezer. I took a photo of it next to my ice cube tray for scale purposes; the tray was not included in my purchase. The bin arrived spotless, brand new, and ready to use. I adore this device, and it has helped me organize my freezer even further. Thank you very much!.
It's great to have a bin where you can keep ready-to-use ice cubes. Ice cubes and iced tea are two of my favorite things. It's a plus that it can hold four dozen ice cubes. I also like how I can store it in the door for easy access and to free up shelf space.
This bin was purchased to match the Rubbermaid ice cube trays that I purchased.
In just a few years, it developed a large crack in its bottom. I chose to replace it with another high-quality Rubbermaid product that nests nicely on top of the trays and can hold up to four trays comfortably. 5 ice trays (the trays seen below the bin in the photo are the ice trays).
I like that this bin can hold enough cubes to fill four Rubbermaid trays. Unfortunately, those trays do not stack as neatly on top of this bin as they do on top of each other; the width is correct, but the length is slightly off. Because my top freezer lacks the necessary height for that setup, I simply stack the trays on one side and the bin on the other, ensuring that I never run out of ice. Whoopi.
I bought eight ice trays and cycled four of them into this ice bin at a time. It's ideal and affordable. In the long run, cleaning a mechanical unit is likely to be just as labor intensive. Get lidded ice trays so you can stack them while they're freezing.
