What a wonderful ice bucket! Before a party, my husband put it in the freezer and then filled it with ice, which we refilled twice before leaving it out overnight. The ice that had been left in the bucket the night before remained frozen the next morning. Tongs are a nice addition. The strainer was the only problem we had. When filling the bucket, it kept flipping over, kicking some of the ice out again. Perhaps this would not have happened if we had started with a few pieces in the bottom and then gradually filled it up. This is something we'll try again, and it looks fantastic on the bar.

Because of the small separator plate at the bottom of the bucket, the bucket had little water at the bottom after 3 hours, but it never came close to touching the ice.
