This glass brings out the complexity and finesse of the magnificently structured red wines.
The extreme contours of extreme glasses give them their name.

Delicate in nature
3/5

They are correct if the name Extreme implies that they are extremely breakable. One of them broke while I was attempting to dry it with a towel. My wife accidentally knocked it over with a plate and it broke. These are delicate items that should not be used on a regular basis. The glasses, on the other hand, are fantastic. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Tonight, while sitting on the couch, I broke yet another rule. 1 left. This is completely absurd. These are something I would never recommend.

Cheaply made and shaped in an inconsistent manner
3/5

These glasses should be much nicer at $20 per glass. The bowl, stem, and base are all machined separately before being welded together. The end result is clumsy and unattractive. br>br>There's also the issue of consistency between glasses. Particularly interesting are the various bowl shapes. br>br>The glasses are of poor quality and appear to be so. Riedel's reputation, I suppose, is all hype. If they're willing to put their name on such a shoddy product and charge so much for it, you can guess what their philosophy is.

Riedel
5/5

That is all there is to say about it; it is well worth the money. If you enjoy wine, you should buy these glasses after reading a product review or description. Says something along the lines of "you should buy a wine glass that costs the same as the wine you usually buy. " Basically, if you enjoy expensive wines or prefer to purchase an expensive bottle of wine. Riedel is and always will be the one and only for me when it comes to wine glasses.

For optimum wear, hand wash
5/5

Glass is lovely, but be cautious - It's a stretch to say it's dishwasher safe. If you don't want to use a rinse agent, you can use soft water instead. Even a few washes will leave a permanent stain on the glass. Although we have a water softener, I was unaware that the rinse agent had run out in the dishwasher. Now the water and soap etching on the glass is impossible to remove.

These are fantastic! These glasses are fantastic
5/5

They have a more upscale appearance thanks to the wider bottom, and they are also fairly durable. On the counter, it is possible to tip over, but not on the floor without breaking. The aromas have a great smell thanks to the wide base.

The winemakers prefer to use Riedel
5/5

For our wedding, some of our winemaker friends gave us a set of Riedel wine glasses, which we still use and enjoy years later. The only drawback is that they must be hand washed, so we bought some "break resistant" glasses for everyday use as well. There is an important distinction to be made. It's worth the investment if you have a nice bottle or simply want to enjoy the wine to its full potential. br>br>These cabernet glasses were given to us as a present - They can be used to make a wide range of wines. If you're only going to buy one type of glass, these are the ones I'd recommend. Smaller ones and stemless glasses are out (unless you're on a boat, what's the point?). When washing them, just be extra cautious. If you brush up against the faucet or sink, it will most likely break.

Beautifully crafted, and much larger than I had anticipated
5/5

These were purchased for a family member who enjoys Cabernet. The shape is lovely, the weight is light, the transparency is excellent, and the thickness is extremely thin. I was taken aback by their size, but I'm sure it contributes to the flavor. Giving as a present It appears to be well-made, and the packaging makes unwrapping them a fun experience. Taking it out of the box is a breeze - genius in a way.

The condition is good, but the quality is poor
3/5

Riedel bills itself as "the wine glass company," and they did an excellent job with this design. It works well with rose champagne, much like a tulip. br>However, the execution and quality are poor, which is disappointing because whatever pleasure I may derive from the shape of those glasses is offset by a constant reminder of the cheap ever-present ridge in the stem that is typical of poorly finished glasses where the manufacturer cut any corners they could, even if it meant avoiding quality control. Worse, not all of the glasses in this package have that flaw; only a few have a stem that isn't completely round and hasn't been properly finished. Riedel should be more concerned with quality than with preserving their brand's heritage.
