The freezer door of my fridge has a digital temperature display that lets you know what temperature it is in the fridge. There is a 37-degree setting on my refrigerator. If I back off the thermostat a bit on the chest freezer it will give the compressor a chance to cool. Putting the thermostat back just a little bit helps keep the inside temperature steady. I can keep doing this over the course of a day and get it to a reasonable level. With that new appliance the freezer will be longer lasting, my utility bill will be lower and my food will be preserved much better. I like these thermometers because they work well for the price. One of them is in the fridge, the other is in the freezer. Another one is in the chest freezer as well. I am able to use all of them effectively. As a precaution just in case something goes wrong with the appliances, I use them as a warning to avoid something like what happened last month when I did not realize the fridge's freezer was frozen until food started going soft.

Both my fridge and freezer had the same accuracy after I purchased two packs of three. In order to give this rating five stars, it would be nice if the base was a little larger and therefore had a Due to the lack of wire racks from which to hang my appliances, the top hooks weren't of much use to me.
