I bought one of these 30 years ago, but the handle was made of wood and began to delaminate, so I had to replace it. Regrettably, there is a night. The new one has a day's difference in quality. It appears to be a low-quality, stamped knock-off.
My Wusthof arsenal had come to an end with this. This item is ideal for both work and school. The level of quality is incredible.

I assumed it was a German product. It was also encased in a thick envelope. Period. Consider putting a fork in a plastic baggie, putting it in a padded envelope, and mailing it! This item does not appear to be genuine Wusthof. Is the warranty still in effect? What happened to the box? I know I paid $40 for it, but I believe I was duped. br>br>Amazon is a company that sells books on the internet. Don't buy anything from this Amazon partner; you've let me down yet again.
It does the job, but it's stamped rather than forged. It's fine for the price, but it's a bit light. There are better options, but they are more costly.
This was purchased for the purpose of carving a turkey. Like the rest of the collection, it's of very high quality. It was so easy to carve the turkey with it; I only wish I had bought one sooner.
Although the materials are of high quality, the construction is not as sturdy as I am accustomed to from Wusthof. Most likely as a result of cost-cutting efforts.
