It performs in the same way as the rest of their offerings: Very good. Because I couldn't find the original plastic piece, I used a cork to replace the tine guards. Like all of their knives, this one is still fantastic.
I frequently make seitan roasts, and this carving fork does an excellent job of holding the seitan roast in place while slicing. However, if you start immediately after the seitan is finished cooking and don't let it cool for a few minutes first, the fork may easily tear through the seitan, at least when steaming them, as I do. That's not a big deal, and the fork (or the seitan) has nothing to do with it. This carving fork is fantastic, and I'm so glad I purchased it. When holding the handle, it also has a solid feel to it, and the tips are razor-sharp.
Made in the United States of America.
Love it. It's a good size and it's simple to operate. I also got one for my camping gear - It's impossible to beat. A purple-handled Mercer is used as a comparison.
Although the size was adequate, the quality was lacking.
This appears to be mistaken for a grill fork by some people. It's smaller and designed for carving roasts or chickens that have just come out of the oven, as well as turning meat that has been cooked on the stove. This is the ideal size for it.
Product that is well-made and of good quality.
This fork is easy to maneuver and performs admirably.
