I couldn't find any information about whether or not this is dishwasher safe, but we've had no problems putting it in the dishwasher so far. If the handle begins to look dried out, I'll simply sand it down. To help protect it, coat it with mineral oil. It's not expensive or of high enough quality for me to want to hand-wash it, but it's well-made enough that it should last for years despite our mistreatment. I wouldn't use this as a BBQ fork because the handle is too short to be safe unless you use a hot mitt or have a small grill. The talons are attractive. a while I won't have to wash the meat fork by hand anymore because it's sharp enough to hold a large roast, turkey, or chicken securely for carving. We can simply replace it if it breaks down in the future. We're saying our goodbyes to Great-grandma. Grandma's non-smoking home Because there is no dishwasher in the camper, the replaceable meat fork will be lovingly hand washed until it is passed down to the next generation.
This is a fantastic utensil that has been expertly crafted. It will fulfill its purpose without breaking the bank, thanks to its function and utility. It's not fancy or expensive, but it's strong enough to pick up, turn/flip, carve, or carry just about any food item you'd poke with a fork. Note the length; you'll burn your hands with a 16 or 20 inch fork to reach the back corner of your large grill, which this one won't, but you won't be able to pick up anything heavy or manage it with much dexterity. This is how I move and manage 9-year-olds. 12 pound roasts/cuts easily, so it's ideal for that.
I was astounded by how difficult it was to locate a basic meat fork. My grandmother and mother both had one, and I own one as well. This was a gift for someone I knew. br>I should've gone straight to Amazon. I try to buy locally whenever possible, but it was impossible in this case. br>It's an excellent fork-shaped fork-shaped fork-shaped fork-shaped fork-shaped fork-shaped for I'd been looking for something similar and came across it. And at a reasonable cost!.
The length of the fork is 13 inches from end to end. The fork's metal portion is 6 inches long. It's described as a fork with a length of 10 1/2 inches. Everyone seems to have their own definition of measurement. I discovered exactly what I was looking for - It's advertised as 4 1/2 inches long (the metal part), but it's actually 8 inches long from end to end. It's known as a granny fork.
I'm always wary of purchasing utensils online because they could be flimsy or bend easily, be made cheaply, or, in the case of this one with a wooden handle, be scratched or stained badly. But everything about it is perfect: strong rivets, lovely wood, a heavy steel fork, and a well-made product. It's one of those that will last so long that my grandchildren will be able to use it.
The handle was made of a rough wood. It will need to be sanded before being coated.
Fork in stainless steel for the kitchen. The wood handle is nice, but the wook is a little rough. For the price, I believe the handle should have been sanded and varnished. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase because it's strong enough to handle any kitchen lifting.
Two- On the grill, a prong fork is also simple to use!.
