A few pieces of wood are splintered

All items are in good shape. I received a set that was broken and splintered. Before I could use them, pieces of my sponge broke and lodged in the wood when I tried to wash them. It was supposed to be a gift for my wife, but I'm not sure how I feel about the designs. However, I have yet to use.

The book was going to be a gift for one of my coworkers, but I need to return it. In the images, there are varying shades of "burn" color, but one spoon looks as if it has been scraped into the paper I have to send it back and find another one because it looks incorrect.

They are perfect for any Harry Potter fan. These wooden spoons can be handled in the same way as any other wooden spoon set and can be washed in the top rack of my dishwasher without any problems. The design on the spoon has not faded because it is burnt into the metal. Excellent purchase, I'm really happy with it.
