My three-year-old had been pleading with me for weeks to make dinosaur cookies, so I finally caved and ordered these. They're easy to clean in the dishwasher (I'm not sure if they're supposed to, but mine haven't melted on the top shelf yet!). ) As mentioned by another reviewer, the plastic part comes off, allowing you to use the plastic part for play dough or other crafts while using the metal part for cookies, etc. The plastic part is also more comfortable to use when pressing the cookie cutter into the cookies. I was blown away by the fact that our cookies resembled dinosaurs rather than being giant blobs! br>br>PS: My son is now requesting cookie cutters in the shapes of monster trucks and trains. Do you believe he's just taking advantage of my cookie cutters and baking skills?.
I thought it would be fun to cut my daughter's sandwiches into shapes since she started kindergarten a few weeks ago. I found these for her because she is obsessed with dinosaurs. br>br>The cutting edge is razor-sharp and precise, but not to the point where I'm hesitant to enlist her assistance. Furthermore, the colored heavy-duty, removable plastic pieces protect the top sides and assist her little hands in pushing the shapes more evenly. I like how there are so many different shapes and sizes. br>br>Because the larger shapes take up the majority of a sandwich's size, there is very little waste for cutting sandwiches aside from the crust, and you can get a similar effect by planning the orientation of the smaller shapes. br>br>They appear to be well made, and while I've only used them a handful of times and dried them immediately after I washed them, I haven't seen any concern for rust so far.
First and foremost, I purchased these as a last-minute Father's Day gift for my husband, and I did so without giving them much thought. The two "sandwich" cutters are standard cookie size, and the Dino foot isn't bad, but the rest are far too small for cookies, according to the seller's description. When I first opened the package, I noticed it right away, but I decided to wait until I made cookies before passing judgment. I finally finished them today, and I'm sorry to say they're far too small. br>br>The small cookies were about the width of my finger, and I couldn't get them out of the mold fast enough. They got even thinner as they were coming out, which is my fault because neither my son nor I have the patience to chill the dough for 1 hour. They take 2 hours to bake and are impossible to frost with a knife, so we've just eaten them plain so far. Maybe I'm just a nut who expects cookies to be more than one bite in size, but these were a letdown. However, I must say that the cutters themselves are of excellent quality, with excellent plastic handles and adorable shapes. It's just that the size isn't right. If you don't mind only getting three usable cookie cutters, go ahead and buy it now! Look for something else if you want a variety of large cookie cutters.
These cookie cutters turned out to be fantastic. They easily cut through the sugar cookie dough and made adorable dinosaurs! One suggestion: they have some fine details, so make sure the cookies are separated and handled carefully.
The "cover" is made of high-quality plastic as well.
This is precisely what I had hoped for. except for when I had to clean them after I had finished cutting out cookies. All of the small dinosaurs, as well as some of the larger dinosaurs (particularly their feet and tails), get stuck in the dough. which makes sense, but I don't have time to pick out dough with a toothpick every time to clean them up!br>They're cute, fun designs, and sturdy! For our cookies, it's perfect!.
These are my favorite things! I wanted to make an edible arrangement with pineapples, but they didn't cut it. The smaller ones' shapes are difficult to discern, but the others were fantastic.
