Selected User Reviews For Zojirushi 619988-ET-WMC22 ET-WMC22 Toaster Oven, Black
Every day for breakfast, I eat peanut butter toast. I prefer crunchy toast. The best feature of this Zojirushi toaster oven is that it makes perfect toast. This toaster oven is built to last, which I can't say about the Osters, Cuisinarts, and Black & Decker toaster ovens. I've gone through a lot of Deckers in the past, and they've all only lasted two years or less before one or both sets of heating elements failed. When my previous Oster died, I was determined to find a replacement that would last a long time, and I believe I've done so. This Zojirushi's heating elements are at least twice as large as the Oster's. Although I am not an engineer, they appear to be far more durable. The rest of the Zojirushi appears to be far more well-engineered and high-quality than any other oven I've ever used. It's easy to use, has few electronic components that can fail, looks great on the counter, and is simple to clean. Get a Zojirushi if you want perfect toast day in and day out for many years. Mine has left me speechless!.
If you need more room, this toaster will provide it as well as good toast. I cooked one piece on the rack and one piece on the tray. I deducted a star because the cord was located on the right side behind the right corner leg, which took away from the cooking time.
It irritated me that you couldn't simply warm something up. If you just want to warm a hamburger bun, even on low heat, it will burn the top. A timer is required at all times. You can't just leave it on a low setting and keep it warm. There's also no option for broiling. It's hard to believe there were so many five-star reviews. Everyone in my family agrees that it isn't the best toaster when they visit.
Zojirushi is a 100-year-old Japanese company known for its high-quality rice cookers and small kitchen appliances. This toaster oven has a small footprint and a partial slide out rack, which is a nice feature for people with limited counter space like me. Because both the lower and upper heating units are always on, I didn't realize it didn't have a bake function. There is, however, a bake tray included, and then top-covering a baked item with non-stick foil. This appears to be resolved by using stick foil. I discovered that a small thin drip tray from a gas BBQ works well as a top cover as well. With a toast setting of 475 degrees, the temperature knob is completely adjustable. Inside, it gets hot quickly, and the heat units cycle on and off to maintain a set temperature. When the timer is finished, the timer knob rotates with a small "Ping" sound. In five minutes or less, you can have delicious toast. I'm satisfied, and this high-quality toaster performs admirably.
We chose this brand because we've had nothing but positive experiences with all of the Zojirushi products we've purchased. Their rice cooker, bread maker, water heater pot, coffee maker, and electric griddle are all on our kitchen counter, and we've had them for at least 5 years, if not 15 years in the case of the rice cooker. br>br>Zojirushi makes a fancier and larger digital toaster oven, but we just wanted a basic toaster with knobs and a small footprint for toasting bread and reheating food. We've had it for two months and it does a good job toasting evenly and heating food quickly, as well as being easy to clean thanks to the easily removable undertray. We'll see how long it lasts, and I'll update this review if it doesn't last at least five years.
That means it's great for cooking things with a lot of water (like squash) if you cover them, but it'll burn everything else (like toast) if you don't. On the plus side, you could say it's extremely effective. br>br>One thing I've noticed that's concerning is that the grey paint on the front is peeling away; it's now rubbing off like whiteboard marker, and if things keep going at this rate, I won't be able to see the indicators.
I was looking for a high-quality toaster oven with a small footprint and came across this one. It is ideal for my kitchen, and I am pleased with my purchase. Zojirushi is known for their rice cookers, but they also made an excellent oven toaster.
This toaster oven is extremely well-made. It's not too small, but it's not too small. It can be used to toast bread and reheat frozen foods. I'm at a loss for words. I wish it would last a long time.
