Questions & Answers
The sides and glass become warm to the touch, but the handle remains cool. The best feature of this oven is the roll-up door. Because it is out of the way when you reach in, it keeps you from getting burned on the door. I hope this has been of assistance.
The outside of the building gets extremely hot - I wouldn't put anything flammable close to the oven. The handle is kept at a comfortable temperature. There is a blast of heat when you open the oven door. I prefer it to our previous toaster, which cost $19, because it toasts evenly and quickly. Pizza reheats beautifully!
wattage: 1200
Gray is the color.

I know it's cute, and the red color is lovely, but don't buy it just because it's cute. I read every review and found that at least 7 other customers said their toaster oven's glass shattered as well, indicating that this product is not safe. When the oven was cooling down after a use, it would make pinging, popping noises. We didn't use it for much else than toasting bread. Following the usual popping noises, the glass shattered about half an hour after I had made toast. It appeared to shatter on its own accord. I called the company and was put on hold for an hour, with the phrase "your call is very important to us" repeating every 10 seconds without a response from a live person. Thankfully, even though I purchased this two months ago, Amazon offers free returns and shipping. Thank you so much, Amazon!.
Toaster oven has a nice look to it. I haven't been able to get open-source software to work properly. In years, I haven't had a face-to-face cheese sandwich! The controls are the only drawback to using it: br>br> br>For starters, unless you stoop down to within 12", the tiny silver printed labels are nearly impossible to see. br>br>The second issue is more serious, as the lower "run" dial is a physical spring-loaded dial. a timer similar to those used in the 1940s It hardly ever times down to a stop AND turns off the "on/running" light, and the heating elements continue to run; to say it is imprecise is an understatement. The user's manual explicitly instructs the user to unplug it after each use, which frequently results in darker/burnt toast. From the standpoint of consumer safety and design quality, this is not correct. br>br>Due to the analog timer's non-linear nature, It's impossible to get consistent toast, and it's burned far too often because a few seconds can make all the difference. br>br>I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN UNLESS IT WAS UPGRADED TO DIGITAL CONTROLSbr>br>But it's so good-- looking!.
I've had this for a little over two years and have put it to good use, though not more than once or twice a day. The numbers on the timer and the temperature dial all faded away after a few weeks. And within a few months, the glass door had become stained with a brown substance that, despite my best efforts, I was unable to remove. Food has caught fire twice inside the house (once while heating taco shells and once while toasting). So now we have to stand in front of it and babysit it whenever we use it. It's been two years and it's still dangerous, unreliable, and an eyesore. I'll be tossing it out soon and replacing it with something more suitable.
The price for the red one seemed a little high to me. However, because the red matched my camper, I purchased it anyway. This toaster oven is fantastic. It really works. For some reason, my package did not include a cookie tray. My sister purchased the same oven from Amazon, but hers included an additional baking/broiling tray as well as a cookie tray. So if you want that, you might not be able to get it. I don't require it, so I'm not concerned. I was able to remove a couple of the assembly screws on the bottom and then fasten it to a piece of wood screwed into those holes for mounting in my camper. I then Velcroed the wood piece to the camper's countertop. It works perfectly. Around 1100 watts are consumed. So it's no problem for me to run it on my Honda generator. It has now traveled over 6000 miles in the announcing camper without incident. It's also frequently used. If you're using a generator to power it, like I am for a camper, turn off the eco mode on your generator so it doesn't idle down while baking. Because the toaster oven cycles frequently while cooking, it puts a lot of strain on the generator in eco mode, as the generator tries to keep up when the oven's element turns on. As a result, when baking with this, set your generator to full power. br>br>I've also noticed that the wall gets hot. Because I'm always worried about fire, I ordered a cheap metal serving tray from Amazon and hung it behind the toaster oven. Because it's fastened to the wall, it's impossible to pull it out. I used spacers behind the tray to allow for airflow. I was able to find a solution to the problem of the warm wall. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic little oven. The top-opening door is ideal for campers with limited counter space.
I was drawn to this particular toaster oven because it was a little more stylish than the others, which were all plain, boxy, silver or black. So far, we've been very pleased. We primarily use it to make toast and reheat foods such as pizza. It performed admirably in these tasks, though you'll have to experiment to figure out where to set the toast setting so that it toasts sufficiently but does not burn. We keep our bread in the freezer because we don't go through it quickly, and this oven toasts frozen bread better than our previous one. Advantages: br>br> Color that is enjoyable to look at; a fashionable appearance a good toast; Controls are fairly simple. lift- Cons: The back door is a nice feature. br> Knobs have a cheap feel to them, despite the fact that they have served me well thus far. If you're not careful, you can easily overcook, burn, or toast your food. I've also manually turned off the oven (heard the "bing") only to return a few minutes later to find it still glowing "on. " This is concerning, and I'm not sure if it's a result of my actions or a defect in the oven; Anyway, before I walk away from it, I make sure it's completely turned off!.
This is a five-star product that is difficult to beat in terms of price and ease of use. Before deciding on this model, I conducted extensive research. The first one I received had a broken heating element, which was most likely due to shipping. Something is wrong if you hear rattling coming from the box. The lettering on the temperature dial and timer is difficult to read, which is something that should be addressed. I'm sure it's in gold lettering for a fashionable look, but I can't set the toaster without putting on my cheater glasses. In my opinion, a bright white would have been a better option that didn't compromise style. Using a toaster oven instead of a regular oven requires some trial and error. When compared to a conventional oven, I find it is better to set the temperature and time lower. In any case, I enjoy using this toaster oven and would buy it again.
