Questions & Answers
Nora, I believe those figures are incorrect. The dimensions of my 31413 oven are as follows: As you face the front, turn to the side. 17". The door handle and height add about 14" to the front-to-back measurement. It's 9" from the counter to the oven's top. I'm not sure where the product measurements came from, but they're off, and I was pleased to discover that the oven was actually smaller than stated, allowing it to fit comfortably on my counter top.
Two steel rod type elements, one upper and one lower, shielded by a perforated metal cover, similar to those found in an electric oven full-sized stove.
It doesn't work that way. There's nothing but metal here.
The HB 31413's operation is controlled by two dials. The air fry mode is selected on the middle dial. The air fry convection mode will be activated as a result of this. The temperature can be adjusted using the top dial. Although there is a preferred air fry temperature (around 450 degrees), the dial can be set to a wide range of temperatures if you prefer lower or higher temperatures than those used for broiling. The timer or on/off switch on the bottom knob is all there is to it.

With my 94-year-old mother, year- mother-in-law - Because my mother-in-law lives with my wife and me, the controls on our small kitchen appliances must be simple and straightforward. It can be difficult to navigate anything digital or that requires more than turning a knob. The controls on the HB 31413 are excellent for this purpose. Although the text on the labels is a little small, the controls themselves are simple to understand and manipulate. The analog timer's audible feedback, which includes a retro mechanical "ding" when it's finished, is one of my favorites. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of a common complaint I have about small appliances in general. While the appliance has a lot of features, it's very light, and the fit and finish isn't great; it works fine, but I don't think it'll last long.
There's no way to turn it off automatically. This oven gets three out of five stars. I'd like to give it a score of three. 5. However, Amazon does not accept this. Overall, we enjoy it and use it on a regular basis. The Benefits (And Why We Like This Toaster Oven) -
- It can toast up to six slices of bread at once. br>- It can toast up to 8 English muffins at once and browns them beautifully.
- It's great on toast with garlic. br>- A small pizza can easily fit in this space.
- We no longer need to use our large "pod" shaped air fryer because the air fryer works so well.
- Simple to work with. Simply follow the instructions that come with the package.
- It comes with all of the necessary pans and racks for cooking almost any type of food. br>br>Our Favorite Feature - This single appliance eliminates the need for our toaster, air fryer, and extensive use of our large kitchen oven. It's ideal for snacks (pizza rolls, anyone?). It's perfect for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and it's simple to operate. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- There isn't any kind of automatic shut-off. off. Other toaster ovens I've used, for example, turn off automatically when the door is opened. In this case, that is not the case. The power remains on when the oven door is opened.
- When the toaster oven is in use, it gets quite hot on the outside. The front glass oven door gets quite hot as well. If you have young children who may be exposed to it or who may want to use it, I would be hesitant to purchase it. This is true of many toaster ovens, but I felt it was important to point out.
- The air fryer's batch size is a little on the small side. If we're talking about French fries, it'll only serve one or two people at most.
This appliance has provided me with a great deal of satisfaction. It comes with a removable crumb tray that makes cleaning a breeze; These are uncommon in toaster/ovens. The toaster function is nice and makes light or dark toast. br>br>I haven't tried the bake or broil functions yet, but I like the air fryer. br>br>It's great to have that crumb removal tray.
In convection mode, the old Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven makes a lot of noise. It didn't appear to be heating up as quickly as it should have been. It does, however, cook much better than the new one. In the new one, I made a pumpkin pie. The pie was barely cooked enough even after nearly double the time recommended by the recipe. Then I made roasted potato fries, using the air fry option for a portion of the cooking time. It took more than twice as long as my old toaster oven did. I don't have an oven thermometer, but the cook times indicate that the temperature is off significantly. It says it can hold 5 lbs of chicken in the description, which I took to mean it could roast a small whole chicken. I don't think that'll be possible. At most, a Cornish Hen will suffice. As other reviewers have noted, this oven gets extremely hot when in use, both the door and the oven itself. As a result, it's easy to get burned in the oven. Last but not least, the roasting pan/tray is made of very thin metal. It warps at a moderate 350-degree angle. Preheat the oven to 400°F. This isn't something my old pan can do. I'm returning this product because it's of poor quality. For the time being, I'll have to make do with my old, noisy one.
This is a fantastic toaster oven that is simple to operate. It does, however, have a rounded back that prevents it from perfectly aligning against a wall - As a result, double-check that you have enough counter space. br>As a rule of thumb - It's simple to clean and offers a wide range of cooking options.
It's an understatement to say she's overjoyed about it. It came with a variety of accessories, allowing you to cook in a variety of ways. When you only need to cook for one or two people and don't want to use your regular kitchen oven, this is the solution. You can pay more for a name or more options, but this is a very capable toaster/oven that solves the problem of cooking for one or two people and does it well! You get a big league player who knows how to handle low-volume cooking for less than a C note. We appear to have a winner in terms of flexibility, capability, and build quality.
It performs admirably. Toast, broil, bake, and air fry are just a few of the ways to prepare food. I tried them all and was blown away.
This unit has a lot of features and a great look for its small size.
