Initially, I had some problems with this oven, but now I wouldn't be able to live The information in this review had gotten very long because of all of the detailed updates, so I decided to condense it and describe just why the initial problems occurred
3/5

The NuWave Elite oven that I have been using for the past year has proven to be an excellent choice for me. I will describe why I prefer it, along with what I dislike and tips for keeping cleanup to In the past, I used the NuWave Oven Elite and did not enjoy having to flip the food to get the food cooked. When I saw what the NuWave Primo oven/grill could do for me, I became intrigued. It's time to put an end to Thus, I decided to take a look at the product. My experience with it is comparable to that of the NuWave Elite oven and previous model, although a few missing features make it less desirable. *In previous models, a pan was installed inside the base unit to collect drippings and protect it from dirt and grease. An oven without a drip pan does not come with one. With aluminum foil covering the base unit, I have tried to protect it. In other reviews, the base has flaked off and had grease embedded in it. All of that is prevented with this coating. By using this method, you can protect your base and will never need to clean it again. It doesn't need to be cleaned frequently, but it's much simpler than patting aluminum foil to the inside of a base unit. I bought an accessory for this oven that included a cover for the inside of the operating unit which has worked great. Because I don't use the grill plate regularly, I covered it with aluminum foil when it wasn't in use to eliminate odors from the grill plate. This was not a good idea, as I found out the hard way. Aluminum foil is able to retain the heat from the grill and melt the plug and the edge of the dome because of this. There is an acrylic grill cover for the oven on Amazon that protects the grill and does not melt the plug or the dome, and it only needs to be cleaned after each use. There is a suggestion that NuWave should include a metal drip pan as a way to improve the product. Though I still would line the drip pan with metal, I don't think the plastic under the grill will last very long if it is not Furthermore, I believe that the grill plate should not be concave on the underside, but finished on the underside. As the grill marks on the beneath of the plate are concave rather than solid, it can be a challenge to clean and dry them. In addition to the grill marks being solid on both sides, cleaning would be considerably easier. *
For those of you considering the Primo and already own a previous version of the NuWave oven, the standard baking pan and racks work with the Primo. One-third of a rack is a little to big, but it can still be used by placing one leg on top of the grill plate when placed inside the oven. There is just a bit too much space between the extension ring and the oven and it is unsteady. There is a dome that fits perfectly on other NuWave ovens with the same size. In comparison with the Elite oven and previous models, I now have a good sense of what I like and dislike after using it almost daily for over 6 months. Here are some of the features I like about this oven Please note - It isn't necessary to flip food in order to cook it on Please note - It consists of 100 pre-recorded audio files It has 99 pre-programmed cooking settings and allows you to set as many as 99 different settings for regular foods. There can be multiple cooking stages in these settings. Please note - When the set temperature is reached, the probe is used to measure the internal cook temperature and the cooking stops automatically when the temperature is Please note - When the oven is preheated, the grill creates wonderful grill marks. Please note - The cooking stages can be easily programmed either one at a time or two at a time Whether to cook at a specific time or to save
- For example, you can set a roast for five minutes of searing and then for a certain time of roasting. The magic of air frying is that when foods are baked perfectly from both sides it produces a crisp outside and a very moist inside. Some of the features that I miss about my NuWave Elite oven Please note - In addition to two racks, the Elite Oven offered convection as well as convection. The racks are reversible and come in a 1"/4" and 2" size. In this oven, there are no racks, so there's no possibility of cooking on two separate levels. Having saved the 1 1/4" rack from the Elite oven that doesn't fit well but works, I purchased a 2 inch rack that sits on top of the 1 1/4". I'm sorry -- It's impossible to control the temperature with precision in digital form. It's possible to set a precise temperature on the NuWave Elite oven. With this oven, you can set a temperature in five degree increments by pushing up and down buttons. Please note - It is not possible to control the digital time precisely. Despite the fact that the time can be set to the minute, it must be done manually by pushing up/down buttons. In the NuWave Elite, the time could be easily set by using its Please note - When using the probe, you are able to cook to an exact internal temperature, however you have no idea when it is done because once it is set, you are out of luck. In general, I look at the temperature inside the vehicle and guesstimate the temperature. Please note - In this oven, the grill plate has been raised above the base, so there is less space between the racks and the upper heating elements than in previous models. For food items with high centers of gravity, an extender ring may be more useful. My turkeys have so far been large enough that I need the extender ring. In order to- Since late April, I have baked fish, heated frozen roasted chicken and potatoes, made steaks, grilled sausage, baked a whole chicken, baked stuffed mushrooms, baked pork chops, baked a whole chicken, and made a few dishes in the Only the sausage on the grill had to be turned because it was cooked to perfection without turning. The 16 lb. turkey I cooked for Thanksgiving was delicious. This oven is perfect for roasting turkey. According to some sources, it can roast up to 30 pounds of meat. The 14 lb turkey was well done, but I doubted it would handle the 16 lb one. It's turkey time. When I got the turkey set up on the grill plate, I put the extender ring on top of the base with the accessory kit. Because the legs and butt of the turkey fit into the grooves of the grill plate, it was surprising to find that it held the bird up. As a result, I set the temperature to 350 degrees and put the probe into a thigh at 160 degrees to account for carryover cooking of five Since I was unsure of the amount of time to cook it, I allowed 2 1/2 hours and 30 minutes for the rest. After 1 1/2 hours, the alarm went off signaling that it had been After being stunned, I checked its temperature in a few places with a digital thermometer, and sure enough, it was hot enough. Compared to other turkeys I have cooked, this has been the most moist and tender turkey I have ever had. It was incredibly moist and tender, even the white meat. The last four pictures above are of the turkey, so you can see how it looked There were a few spots on the skin that became dark from sitting on the grill, but otherwise the meat was excellent. This may have been corrected by lowering the percentage of the lower element's temperature. Since I used 50/50 on the upper and lower temperatures, that could be remedied. This evening, I made tenderloin brochettes that were out of this world. The tenderloins were cut into two-inch cubes, the green bell peppers were cut into wedges, the onions were cut into wedges, the cherry tomatoes were cut into quarter-inch segments, and the bacon slices were lightly precooked. It would depend on the length of your skewers and the number of them you have, as well as how many tenderloins you have. Thawing the tenderloins the night before, I sprinkled them with a rub and It was possible to fit 3 of each type (meat and veggies) on the skewers that I used to assemble them. Then I baked them at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on the 4" grill rack (that fitted around the grill it was the same height as the 3"). Although it was medium, the meat was quite tender and I'd like to try cooking the meat less next time since we like medium rare. A mix of wild and brown rice was served on the side, and the dish was better than any I have ever had at In my Elite oven, everything turned out better than it did before. As I understand it, using the probe takes the guesswork out of knowing when foods are done, and the oven shuts off automatically when the temperature is reached. Also, I find that it is important to pre-heat the grill before using it so that you can get My experience with this oven has been overwhelmingly positive. Here is a list of foods this oven consistently cooks beautifully. In light of my experience with the oven for the last five months, as well as my grand finale turkey, I would strongly recommend it with the changes listed Adding this to my list of appliances I simply cannot live without has made me a fan. The customer service at NuWave is also top-notch. The issues I had with this oven, most of which were my own fault, eventually led me to believe this was a defective product Upon you. Over the past few years, they have replaced the dome two times and the entire unit three Whenever I returned an item, there was no hassle, and they paid both the shipping for the returned item as well as the replacement item. I would also give NuWave customer service a solid 10 out of 5 stars, in addition to rating the oven highly. The review will be updated once I have experience and my opinion has changed.

The concept is good, but the materials are terrible
3/5

You should stay away from this product. We have had the pro version for years and have gifted it to friends and family a few times. Our next purchase was the Primo we were very enthusiastic about the new design, the bottom heating element, and the probe when it came time to buy. I bought this oven less than 4 months ago, in June. It is worth noting that Primo did not disappoint in regards to functionality. However, the materials used to construct this oven are of poor quality. Normally, the bottom pan is placed first. There is a thin layer of plastic covering the Nowadays, we use tinfoil to cover the pan before using it. Meanwhile, we noticed a few days ago while washing the heating element that the paint was chipping off There's a ) layer coming off of As soon as we stopped using the oven, we immediately stopped using it. The paint they used to cover that grille is not something we want to eat. Keep this product away from your children.

Peeling occurs at the base
5/5

I just received the following update As I mentioned, Nuwave has informed me that the peeling nonstick paint is not poisonous. I appreciate you telling me that, but we will still keep an eye on it. It is peeling that is causing an issue. As a result, I now wrap the internal base pan in aluminum foil, so the issue isn't much of an issue. Bases could be replaced at no cost. A second time. We offer our services free of charge. Despite the fact that there is only one con, it is a major It is the nonstick coating in the base of the unit that Two weeks after I got it, I had it replaced. As well as the replacement, it peels. We aren't soaking anything in water. Using abrasive cleaners and scouring sponges can damage your surfaces. I find it frustrating, and I think it's dangerous, to see the nonstick coating peeling away. The Nuwave company has offered to replace it again, so I complained. I have not received an answer to my concerns about the peeling. In this case, I guess I can use aluminum foil to cover it, but I'm concerned about what type of toxins might be being spread into the food. While the primo model highlights great innovations, the peeling paint takes its toll on the design.

This is one of the best variations of the * I have owned Nuwave ovens for many years, so my initial impression of the new Primo oven is positive
3/5

The grilling feature addresses the main weakness in previous versions of the Nuwave oven, which required turning food over manually because all of the heat came from the top. * By adding the cooking probe feature, yet another advantage of the system has been added. A feature in an oven that allows you to set the oven to automatically shut off when you've reached the desired internal temperature of the food you're cooking is a nice feature. It only took me 9 minutes to cook a thin crust frozen pizza without preheating (no My second experience with the probe feature was to cook a whole chicken and this went well.
