Mine has recently begun to turn on by itself. It's been around for about six months. When it turns on, there is no set time limit. I believe it would continue to run if you were not present to turn it off. The light turns off when you completely close the door. Even if the door isn't completely shut (and the interior light is turned on), the microwave will turn on. This is a fire and health hazard, in my opinion.

When setting the time, however, the dial moves in 10 second intervals for the first 5 minutes, then 30 second intervals to 10 minutes, 1 minute intervals to 30 minutes, and 5 minute intervals to 95 minutes. This oven offers multistage cooking, which allows you to cook in up to three stages if you need more precision. This may not be the oven for you if you require cooking precision down to a one-second interval. In April of 2020, I bought a microwave. Last night, the knob was turned and the button was pressed by accident, which is easy to do with this model. This is especially true if your kitchen is small. After going to bed around 1030pm, we awoke to our smoke alarm sounding at 5 a. m. This microwave had caught fire and had not yet been extinguished. This microwave, it appears, was left on all night. I'm not sure how that's even legal. Why isn't there a timer or some other way to set a limit on how long this microwave can run? This is a defective product; it's cheap for a reason, it's a poor design, and it's potentially dangerous. Take it slow and easy.
I'd had the product for about three months when I decided to return it. It's a little strange to use, but it's cute and compact; however, one night I didn't go to bed on time. I went into the kitchen, smelled smoke, and dashed to the microwave, which was still on and running. There was no way of knowing how long it had been running. It was not turned on by anyone in the house. We threw it outside right away, and thankfully no one was hurt, but this is a shoddy product; do not buy it if your safety is important to you.
It must have been a faulty product from the factory because it turned on and ran for an unknown amount of time overnight, and I awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of it running and the smell of the heat. So I returned it to another brand after sending it back.
The beebop blue color is stunning, and the retro style/design only adds to the appeal! I like how it opens with a handle. It's so much easier (and more attractive) to open this microwave than previous microwaves I've owned that used a push button. Instead of pressing numbers, I prefer to use the dial. It's easy to understand and looks better than a standard number panel. It takes a few seconds longer to heat my food than other microwaves I've used, but what's a few seconds in the grand scheme of things? I adore it, I adore it, I adore it, I adore it, I.
This was just delivered to me today. I chose this microwave out of all the ones I looked at in this or a similar color because it had 5 stars. I have not used it yet (will update later). I was putting it together and noticed what appeared to be a plastic coating that needed to be peeled off, but I quickly realized that was not the case, and instead it was whatever seal/coating they used all over the unit that wasn't clinging properly in these areas on both sides. I simply set the timer on it, and that was all there was to it. It's lovely from the front, but the bubbly, pealy-looking sides irritate me. I'm curious if this is an unusual occurrence or if this is a common problem with these.
As a result, I placed an order for it for my grandmother. She made the connection. I thought it was the freezer when I heard a noise. It was the microwave when she awoke after about 25 minutes. She didn't realize it was on the whole time because the light didn't work in it!! It shattered the glass plate and was on the verge of catching fire; a lawsuit is warranted, but it's not worth it. They are not a good company to buy from. Even if the item was defective, their customer service is a joke.
I've been without a microwave for six days because the microwave arrived a day early. It's black instead of the bee bop blue I requested. It performs admirably, though the operating sequence is unusual for American users. In order to figure it out, I had to do a lot of rereading. It was, indeed, overly simplistic. After dialing in the desired time, you must press the round auto dial. I decided it was a keeper because it appeared to be in good condition. In my grey on dark grey cabinets, the black looks great. It was my favorite color. It's now one of my favorite things in the world. Today I tore the box apart for recycling.
I live in a big city with roommates, two cats, and my son, so I don't have much space. Even so, I want my cramped quarters to be appealing! And this small item adds a nice touch to the kitchen. It operates in a slightly different manner than other microwaves, but once you've gotten used to it, it'll be a breeze!.
