Questions & Answers

Is there anything in the basket that isn't edible? stick? Is it safe to put in the dishwasher?

The nonstick cooking surface is fantastic! It really works! In terms of dishwasher safety, I use both - Both hand and dishwasher washing are possible options. I've been using it at least once a day for just over three years, and it's washed once a week, maybe once every five days. The rest of the time, it only requires a light swipe with a cloth and a few drops of Dawn, followed by a sprayer rinse. Allow to dry (and thonk the outer basket on the counter on a towel a few times on both top and bottom to get water out of the little holes, then simply replace and run a preheat to finish drying). It appears to be brand new in appearance and operation. I use it all the time as my main oven and cook a lot in it. Metal utensils, on the other hand, are never used in my kitchen.

How loud is this machine when it's cooking? Is it quiet and deafeningly quiet or loud and deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly dea ?

To be honest, it's barely audible, and it's only on for a short period of time at a time, so I've had louder dishwashers. It's similar to a noisy microwave or an air conditioner. The sound of a car engine purring softly. There is no silence here. You might forget it's on once you've gotten used to it. It's a good thing it's self-contained. shut off. The timer on whatever you're cooking will turn off when the timer runs out. As a result, you won't have to be concerned about accidentally igniting your kitchen because you were distracted.

What's the difference between this model and the one that came out recently?

That is an excellent query! The stainless steel air fryer only has 9 presets, whereas this air fryer has 11. The control panel is unique as well. Furthermore, while this air fryer does not come with any accessories, the stainless steel air fryer does. 5 skewers and a layer rack. I hope this information is useful.

What distinguishes this model from the previous one?

Cosori fails to mention the significant difference between the two models. A hole in the bottom of the basket has been covered with a small rubber plug in the new Premium version. The plug is extremely fragile and breaks apart quickly; I contacted Cosori, and they are sending me three replacements; however, if you use the machine frequently, you should get three replacements. You'll most likely need a new plug every two days if you work 5 days a week. 3 months. They refuse to acknowledge the problem, and they refuse to sell the plugs to extend the machine's life; I'll use it as long as the three plugs last, and then the machine will be useless. The oil drips out of the basket because it has a hole in it, making it dangerous to use.

My New Chef de Partie - All of my cooking is taken care of by him
5/5

To begin with, I despise the kitchen. I'm not a fan of the shambles. It takes far too long, and my recipes never turn out as well as those in cookbooks. I'm also not very good at cooking. I got the Cosori Air Fryer a few weeks ago and have been using it every day, multiple times a day, since then. br>br>All you have to do is take it out of the box and it's ready to use. The only thing that needed to be cleaned in soapy water before adding food was the detachable basket and pan. The buttons are self-explanatory. self-explanatory There's a snowflake for frozen foods, fries for fries, bacon for bacon, as well as Preheat and Keep Warm options. br>br>When I first turned it on, I had no idea what to expect; I was worried it would get too hot and burn my counter (or me). It was supposed to be noisy, so I expected it to be. None of the above were true. On the outside, it does get warm, but not as hot as an oven. You should be cautious when removing the basket or any food from the fryer because its speed deceives you into thinking it works so quickly and gets food so hot so quickly. As for noise, you can hear the air moving, but I wouldn't call it loud. My Alexa is close to the air fryer, and she hears me perfectly when I'm talking while it's cooking. Also, because my Alexa is near the air fryer, you can tell that it doesn't get too hot or spit things at you, because if it did, I wouldn't have the Alexa there. br>br>On my counter, the air fryer also looks great. In my kitchen, it's already turned into a talking point. This weekend, I had family over, and they were curious about it. I put on a sort of kitchen demonstration, and everyone stood around and watched before devouring the entire meal (not a crumb remained on the plates!). ), and then they added that they needed to purchase an air fryer as well. br>br>So far, I've tried recipes from the included recipe book and a chicken fried steak recipe from an air fryer cookbook I bought separately. The cookbook that comes with the Cosori air fryer is great because each recipe comes with a picture and the ingredients aren't intimidating for those of you who don't like to cook like me. Most of the ingredients in the recipes are ones you've likely heard of and have on hand - I despise wandering around a grocery store looking for a random ingredient I'll only use once, so this is a huge plus for me. br>br>The first recipe I tried was sweet potato fries from the Cosori cookbook that came with the package. I prefer crunchy fries, so I could have cooked them in the air fryer for a few minutes longer than the recipe suggested, but they were still delicious. I've had some of the best sweet potato fries in my life. br>br>I then added some frozen okra from the freezer section just for fun. I bought a water bottle and filled it with olive oil, so all I had to do was lightly squirt the olive oil on the okra while it was still in the air fryer basket, then press the snowflake button. The okra was crunchy and delicious, exactly how I like it. And I couldn't believe how quickly it had gone from frozen to crisp and crunchy. I could tell which ones I had missed when I sprayed the okra with olive oil because the majority of them were golden brown. Those were the only ones that were white - I've since purchased a pressurized oil sprayer can that's specifically for spraying olive oil, and it works far better than my plastic water bottle at spraying everything evenly. br>br>Onto my third recipe: chicken fried steak, which I made the same night. This recipe wasn't in the Cosori cookbook, to begin with. I wasn't sure how well this cookbook would turn out because it didn't have a picture. I've made it twice in three nights because it's so delicious. The entire meal was prepared in the air fryer that night: br>br> a bag of frozen sweet potato fries turned- Okra that has been air-fried and chicken that has been fried. It felt like an elaborate meal was prepared in a short amount of time, and my kitchen was not a disaster afterward. I only had a few plates and bowls piled up on my counter, along with a greasy stove to clean, because I'd used them instead of pots, pans, and baking dishes. br>br>The next day, I tried the mozzarella cheese sticks from the Cosori cookbook that came with the package. I completely messed up this recipe by substituting baking soda for cornstarch. Did I mention how terrible a cook I am? Despite this, the mozzarella sticks turned out alright (if not great, which was most likely my fault). They crisped up quickly and tasted great. They didn't resemble the picture in the recipe book at all. I also wish the cheese had been more melted on the inside, as the outside appeared to be very crispy but the inside was not. This could be due to my using the incorrect ingredient, so I'll try again because they weren't bad even with the incorrect ingredient. They didn't have the same flavor as mozzarella cheese sticks, but they were still delicious. br>br>For dinner, I made grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids using the cookbook that came with it. These did not turn out the way I had hoped. At the very least, I used the correct ingredients this time, but the cheese was not as gooey as it would have been if it had been cooked on the stove. I think it would have been perfect if I had doubled the amount of cheese the recipe called for, but the bread was golden brown. It was a hassle to melt butter on the stove, brush it on the bread, and then grate cheese before putting it in the air fryer. Even though I can make a grilled cheese sandwich in a pan faster, it was still entertaining to try. I'm going to try the recipe again, this time with more cheese. I believe it is a recipe that I can tweak to perfection. br>br>Next, I tried the pizza from the Cosori recipe book. I didn't use pizza dough because I didn't have any on hand. Pita bread is my preferred method of consumption. I treated it like pizza dough, which meant preheating the air fryer, brushing the crust with olive oil, and cooking it for five minutes at 320 degrees. Then you take it out and top it with whatever you want. I used pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese on mine. It's done when you put it back in the air fryer for another five minutes at 320 degrees. It was incredibly satisfying. For lunch, I'm going to make another. The only drawback was that I had to cook each one separately because I couldn't fit two pieces of pita bread in the basket at the same time. br>br>My most recent recipe to try is the coconut shrimp, which is also included in the air fryer's cookbook. There were only three bowls to dredge the coconut shrimp in and then a plate to serve them on, which would normally be a huge mess in the kitchen. While you're getting everything else ready, preheat the air fryer, and then cook the shrimp for eight minutes. They were delicious, but the next time I make them, I'll double the amount of coconut in the dredge. The recipe was tasty, but I didn't detect any coconut flavor. br>br>With my aversion to cooking, I keep picking out new recipes to try from the cookbook, which is a first for me. I've included photos of country fried steak, pizza, grilled cheese, mozzarella sticks, and coconut shrimp that I've prepared thus far. br>br>Even if you have the 5. You'll need to get used to cooking in batches if you're using an 8-quart pot. That first night, I wanted to make four chicken fried steaks, but there was only enough room for two. It's not a major issue. Cooking in batches is all that's required. Because I could only fit one round piece of pita in the air fryer at a time, I had to make each one separately; however, two grilled cheese sandwiches fit into the air fryer at the same time. br>br>Like I said before, the cookbook that comes with the air fryer is full of pictures. There are over 100 pages of recipes in this book as well. Strawberry cream scones, stuffed french toast, BBQ bacon, ribeye, meatballs, fried chicken, crab cakes, wings, pigs in a blanket, french fries, onion rings, roasted corn, cheddar buttermilk biscuits, cinnamon rolls, pound cake, and orange cranberry muffins are just a few of the recipes available. Without it, I'd be completely lost. It also tells you which button on the air fryer to press, so you can learn how to use it while you're cooking rather than having to read an instruction manual from cover to cover before you're ready to cook. After using the air fryer, I mentioned that I didn't have many dishes to clean. The fact that the air fryer itself is so simple to clean is one of my favorite aspects of cleanup. It's as if everything is slipping off of it. It's clean despite the fact that I'm barely scrubbing it. Although the description states that it is dishwasher safe, I prefer to wash it in the sink because nothing ever gets dried on and stuck to it. I like how I can clean it with a little soap and it's clean and ready for my next recipe, and it dries quickly because the water beads on it. br>br>The only drawback to the air fryer is probably my own impatience with one of the controls. One button controls both the temperature and the time. You must toggle the button if a recipe requires you to change the temperature and/or time. It all starts with temperature, so if you need to change the length of time something is kept in, simply press the temp/time button again. I keep hitting time when I mean temperature and vice versa. br>br>Also, when you remove the basket, the air fryer cuts off, as it should, ensuring that it does not continue to cook while there is nothing in the bottom. When you replace the basket, it returns to the original temperature and time settings when you turn it on, not the ones you had previously. It would be great if it remembered your previous setting from 5 minutes ago. When I had to make pizzas in batches the other night, I had to run the air fryer for 5 minutes on one crust, then 5 minutes on the next, and so on. When I pulled a crust out, I had to reset the time and temperature every time. That's when I realized how inept I was at toggling the above-mentioned temperature/time button. br>br>Both the shared time/temp button and the air fryer's inability to remember your previous time/temp are minor drawbacks. But those are the only drawbacks I can think of, as this air fryer has quickly become my favorite kitchen tool. br>br>Because I've never used an air fryer before, I don't have anything to compare the Cosori air fryer to, but I did my research. I read reviews, watched videos, and crossed my fingers that I was purchasing the correct product. I couldn't have made a better decision; in fact, I'm looking forward to cooking for the first time in my life. The breakfast menu for tomorrow is as follows: Sticks of french toast!.

The leaking steam creates puddles on your counter
3/5

That, according to support, is perfectly normal! The air fryer is very effective. One of the most common complaints is that the basket/drawer leaks steam while cooking, leaving puddles on whatever surface the air fryer is on. When you lightly press on the basket / drawer, the steam stops leaking out, indicating that either the product was poorly designed or manufacturing tolerances were inadequate. Even though it works, I would not recommend it because the mess it creates is too much trouble to clean up after each use. br>br>** Updated 11/11/19 *
br>After receiving confirmation from Cosori support that leaking steam from the basket is normal, I am lowering my overall rating to one star because this product is clearly made cheaply / poorly designed. DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS MANUFACTURER; instead, choose a competitor's product that does not leak steam or leave a mess on your counter.

The results were disappointing
3/5

After hearing so many positive things about Air Fryers from family and friends, I decided it would be a good solution for preparing meals for one that didn't take long to prepare, was easy to clean, used less energy, and allowed me to have a variety of tasty meals. My experience with the Cosori Air Fryer has been disappointing to say the least. I've used it to cook steak that took a lot longer to cook than the instructions suggested, and it didn't brown at all. I tried making French fries with raw potatoes and ended up with limp fries that I didn't want to eat after nearly 30 minutes at 400 degrees. I've tried frozen French fries, which I sprayed lightly with canola oil in the hopes of crisping them up, but they've always turned out limp after nearly 30 minutes. I'm not sure if the fan is broken or what the issue is, but I'm not pleased with this product at all.

(HOW TO GET RID OF THE PLASTIC SMELL) exceeded my expectations
5/5

I'd like to make it clear that this equipment will be used for commercial purposes rather than for personal use. The life expectancy should be lower than average. br>Before purchasing, I read hundreds, if not thousands, of reviews of the most popular products on the market, comparing power, INTERNAL SIZE, functionality, durability, and PRICE. Power rating: br> 1700 watts (average)br>Capacity: 1700 watts 8 qt / 5. 5L. (on average, high)br>Price: $ 119. When compared to equipment with similar features, the price is reasonable. br>It's simple to use, clean, and transport or move. br>I have a Philips brand air fryer that I bought in 2016 and it still works like new, but I needed another one and the truth is, I was looking for something more affordable and larger internally. If it lasts or yields enough, I will buy more of this equipment for my business. br>IT'S IMPORTANT TO BE AWARENESS OF THE FOLLOWING: THE MOST COMMON NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE THAT THEY SMELL LIKE PLASTIC, HAVE A PLASTIC FLAVOR, AND HAVE AN UNPLEASANT FLAVOR. TO GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. br>STEP 1: BE ENCOURAGEDbr>STEP 2: WASH THE EQUIPMENT THOROUGHLY BEFORE USING WITH FOOD FOR THE FIRST TIMEbr>STEP 3: IN MY CASE, I DID PREHEATING 10 TIMES, AND THE KITCHEN HAD A VERY STRONG PLASTIC ODOR THAT WAS DISAPPEARINGbr>STEP 4: WASH AGAINbr.

SO SIMPLE TO WORK WITH! Among the hundreds of air fryers available on Amazon, I chose this one
5/5

The number of presets (12, including defrost), the warranty (1 year), the Cosori accessories, and ease of use were the most important features to me. It's simple to clean in the dishwasher, and I don't have to calculate time or temperature because of the preset settings. However, if you need to, you can easily add or subtract time. I made the most amazing steaks the night I got my air fryer, which were so tender and moist on the inside! Since then, I've made Cornish hens, BBQ ribs, blueberry muffins, tater tots, and a variety of other dishes. The fryer isn't heavy, and it doesn't make a lot of noise when it's running. Purchase this as a gift to yourself!.
