Simple to work with

We bought this item to help us figure out what was causing the suspect uneven cooking areas on our barbeque grill. We did, in fact, have hotspots and coolspots. For the best cooking results, we now know where to put certain types of food items. The only issue was that when I closed the lid, I forgot to remove the gauge from the grill surface. As a result, the gauge was heavily encrusted with grease and soot. It took a lot of elbow grease and grill cleaner to get it back to its original gleaming chrome finish after it had cooled down. The surface of the glass was not harmed, and it continued to function normally.

Surprisingly, this tiny grill thermometer is right on the money! I also have a second grill thermometer, which is much more accurate; the dome temperature is always off, so you need to see what's going on on the grill where the meat is, and this one is quite accurate

It will brown slightly due to the heat, which is to be expected with anything cooked on the grill, but I am pleased with it and would highly recommend it. Well. After all, this is a Rubbermaid item.

Thermometer is a fantastic device

In my smoker, I laid this flat next to the meat on the metal grate. It is always correct and simple to understand. The smoke causes it to become blackened, so I clean it every time without causing any damage to the thermometer's temperature reading mechanism. In comparison to other oven thermometers I've used, I would strongly recommend this one.

It is an excellent thermometer. I modified the mount to fit between the two side oven racks. br>It tilts up slightly for easy viewing from the outside of the oven door.
