The glasses themselves are extremely durable and well-made. made. The gold on the rim, on the other hand, flakes off quickly and is quite noticeable after only a few washes. I prefer to purchase items that can be washed in the dishwasher, and this item stated that it could be. I had assumed that the gold rim would be considered in their evaluation, but it appears that it is not. Other than that, the glasses are in good shape. It's probably better to just get the glasses without the gold rim, which I see are still available on Amazon.

We like the style of the glass, and it's great. I'm hoping the "gold" isn't a poisonous substance. My wife noticed that it vanished every time I had a drink- the second time around I won't be buying anything else.

After the first use, the top golden tape had already peeled off! I was really looking forward to getting these glasses, so it's a real bummer.
