These turned out to be a dud. I purchased two boxes of them, totaling 32 glasses. The glass breaks in half after a couple of washes in my dishwasher for some reason! When you go to get them, it's as if the glass has been shattered! On the short ones, three people have done it so far.
I like that I can stack them if I want, but some of them broke when lightly tapping another glass, so I docked a star. It's not a big deal; I honestly expected it given the price, but it's still worth noting. While it may not hold a lot of fluids, it's just right for my son, and I don't mind having to refill my glass as needed because it prevents me from wasting drinks by pouring too much into a taller glass.
I've been trying to find a glass that matches or is even slightly larger than the one with iced tea. br>br>These Amazon glasses are about a half-inch to 3/4-inch shorter than the ones I'm looking for. It looks a lot like some of the ones I just got back. I'm going to keep these in the hopes that a glassmaker can make them in a 6 size. 5 to 7. With the 1. 5 inch size (or both), 5 to 2. Despite having a 0 inch base, the glassware remains thin and lacks the thick walls found in cheaper glassware. br>br>These are medium weight, but they appear to be a little narrower in the body than expected, and they slip a little. br>br>I found the size that's very comfortable to hold (filled with iced tea) at a dollar store, but they've been replaced with the same height, design, but thick heavy glass since then. br>br>The Amazon glasses will suffice for the time being, and they appear to be sturdy; it's just a shame I'm trying to match a dollar store glass. br>br>These are the closest I've found so far, but they're a little shorter and the middle isn't as full. If you buy these glasses, you'll get an empty, shorter glass. br>br>A simple drinking glass, which my son would easily need to fill with water if he came in from a run. 3 times. br>br>If someone could manufacture the style I'm trying to match, I'd probably keep buying it for decades.
These were purchased in bulk from Amazon Warehouse. I was looking for a good pair of glasses that wouldn't break the bank because I still have kids who will drop them from time to time. They've held up well so far. br>br> After multiple dishwasher washes, there are no chips or cracks. Even so, you look fantastic. I'm very pleased with them and would recommend them for the price.
56 for 6. For the price, I thought it was a great deal, and they were more suitable for my projects. But I needed more, and when I returned to purchase more, the price had doubled! It's now more than $17, and I'm disappointed that the price has risen so dramatically in less than a week. I'm not sure what happened, but for only 6 glasses, that's way beyond my budget. I'll go back to the dollar store and take my chances.
I like most of what Amazon Basics has to offer, but these glasses appear to be a step up. They have a lot of appeal. The transition from a square base to a round drinking edge is particularly pleasing to the eye. The glasses have a good weight to them and fit comfortably in my small hands. I first purchased the Old Fashioned glasses, and I was so pleased with them that I decided to order the tumblers as well. Oh, and they arrived in perfect condition - thanks! During shipment, there appeared to be no risk of chipping or breaking. I am blown away. You won't be let down!.
In terms of size and appearance, these glasses were exactly what we were looking for. After the first wash, however, one was found cracked. Also, a flaw in the base of one of the glasses caused it to not sit flat (a curve at the base), so we decided to toss that one out as well because we didn't want a rocking glass.
What's so difficult about finding light-weight glasses - Is there no heavy foundation? It turns out that it's not too difficult, and these glasses are quite light. The simple design and size appeal to us.
