I've had these for a long time, and after reading this, I smelt the lid and could tell it was made of wood. But aside from that, I'm not aware of anything. So, if there is any other odor, it will dissipate.
Personally, I've never made candles, but I don't believe you'd have any problems. They are strong and made of glass. When wax is poured, I have no idea how hot it is. However, I don't believe it will overheat them to the point of cracking.
About 4- 5 inches in height They are in possession of a new. 75-ounce spice jar with plenty of room inside. I'm afraid I won't be able to give you an exact measurement because I packed my spices.

I now specialize in Holistic Nutrition as an Executive Chef, and I have cabinets full of teas that I use to help others heal. Tea should be stored in glass, and these lovely glass containers provide airtight protection from the secure lids, as well as preservation of my herbs and cabinet beauty! I placed an order for 28 of them (14 per box - total of 28). 6 oz. size) and enjoy it! br>br>I'll be ordering larger glass containers for all of my household and business needs! Amazon has a great product! br>br>Platinum Entertainment Executive Chef Vanessa Dobybr>.
These are fantastic little jars, and the airtight seal will come in handy for keeping my dried herbs as fresh as possible, but they aren't true 6 oz containers. It's more like 4 oz. on the edge. They might be 6 oz TO THE TOP OF THE JAR WITHOUT THE LIDS, but once the lid is on, they're only 4 oz. If your herbs are bulky, such as rosebuds or rosehips (as seen on the right side of the photo), you'll need less. The only reason I docked a star is because of this. Otherwise, I've already received numerous compliments on them, and they will perform as required. More would be purchased by me. Ps: The presentation was fantastic. The jars are securely encased in a protective foam layer, with one hole for each jar, resulting in immaculate results.
Beautiful jars with bamboo lids that keep the insides of the jars airtight. They were well-packaged and handled with care when they arrived. They also include a white chalkboard-like marker and black stickers (which may be erasable/reusable due to the eraser on the end of the marker, but I haven't tried). The glass jars are thick and sturdy, unlike some others that are thin and flimsy. They seem like they'll last a long time. I absolutely recommend these, and I'm even considering getting another set for the rest of my loose leaf teas. They fit well in my kitchen drawer as shown, but would also look lovely in a cupboard; I absolutely recommend these, and I'm even considering getting another set for the rest of my loose leaf teas.
The jars are well-packaged for shipping, but the box/styrofoam has an unpleasant odor. The stench is on the wooden lids (and inside them as well) after I opened the jars. I used soapy water to wash the jars and lids, but the lids still stink. Before I put my spices and teas in the jars, I'm going to let them air out for a few days. One of the wooden lids was chipped in two places on the inside and had splinters that I was afraid would get into the spice. I was afraid of breaking the glass jars while washing them because they are very thin. I'll keep the set as long as the odor goes away because it's beautiful. br>Recent changes: After a few days of airing out, the smell on the lids had faded significantly, so I felt safe filling them with spices.
Only one jar of seasoning appeared to have clumped together. I'm going to have to order some more.
I thought these jars were so cute that I painted them and sold them as small storage containers. I haven't used them with food yet, but they appear to seal quite well.
Small enough to fit in a cabinet and labeled for spices. There was even a marker! I like how you have a nice collection of jars. There were no breaks or damage due to the excellent packaging. The lids are well-fitting and attractive.
I decided to use these instead of my old spice jars because the cabinet in my new home was too small for them. They have made me so happy. They are individually packaged in a very thick foam box with a foam lid to ensure that they do not break during shipping. They have a lot of spice in them and look great on the shelf. They're well sealed, but not so well that you can't remove the lid from the jar. They have a sophisticated appearance and are attractive enough to be displayed on a counter.
