Looks like the spoons are what they claim to be. There is just one problem here. If this is indeed stainless steel, it must be the lowest grade stainless you can get. If this is a made in china product, you have nothing to worry about. There is so much carbon in these spoons that it was difficult to remove them from the rare earth magnets. They should last for a year without rusting. Then, instead of all the smoke and mirrors, how about this china, charge $5 more and actually make a quality product you can be proud of.
