I bought them as back-ups because spoons tend to end up where socks end up over time! No one knows what happened to them, but I believe it was due to extraterrestrial intervention.
Beautiful, well-made, and of high quality. Large bowls to hold the food and a nice modern look. They're easy to clean in our dishwasher and don't leave any marks. They're heavy, but I take that as a sign of quality. We were so impressed with them that we ordered a complete set of cutlery and serving spoons. We've had them for nearly a month and are very pleased with them; I'll update my review if this changes. For the money, this is a fantastic deal.
I usually go for smaller tableware, but I needed spoons badly. These spoons have a larger mouth than the others, but they still fit in my silverware drawer. The mouth area is just under 2 inches across. They are not suitable for children, but they are excellent for ice cream, vegetables, potatoes, soup, mixing ingredients, stuffing, and so on. I wash my dishes by hand (or rather, my husband does) and they always retain their luster.
I was looking for the perfect spoon that didn't have a large bowl to make it easier to use due to my TMJ, and these are thick and sturdy, so I'm glad I found them.
These spoons are very nice. They're a lot more durable than the ones I used to have (which I probably threw away). I'm so happy I came across these. They have a nice style and shape, and they're slightly longer than the others, which is exactly what I was looking for. The length of the piece is 5 inches in total. They're great for the price, but unless you wash them by hand and dry them right away, most stainless steel utensils will lose their luster over time. The luster's life will be prolonged as a result. When they reach that point, I'll simply buy another set.
The end of the spoon and the part that goes into your mouth have sharp edges. When I first used one, I got a cut on my lip. Then I went through the rest of them and found that they were all the same. These aren't something I'd consider purchasing.
These spoons have long handles and a round bowl, which I find appealing. I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older or what, but a sturdier, heavier spoon like this one appeals to me. We'll be buying more of these in the near future because we seem to lose silverware as quickly as socks at our house.
At mealtime, her new favorite thing is to yell "tiny spoon!" or "tiny fork!".
