Questions & Answers

The gloves claim to reduce hand fatigue, but is that true? own a pair of 8" Gingher dressmaker shears which tend to give me hand fatigue after prolonged use. ?

There is no way anyone can use 8" ginghers without having some kind of pain in their hands. Kai shears and other professional shears like them are designed for quick and steady cutting all day. Certainly your fatigue will not be worse, but cutting form is an equally important element. People do not know how to handle scissors ergonomically, even those who have sewed all their lives. I can't put this in words but succinctly, you should never let your hand be weighed down by scissor blade You should always rest the tips of the blade, or the bottom blade, on the table while cutting. By cutting "in the air", your hands will tire much more quickly than if you did it in the usual It's not uncommon for me to cut patterns by hand for 8 hours a day for about 25 years and never experience problems at the end of the day, and I'm using Wiss 20's, which are significantly heavier than Kai's.

Can you tell me how long the cut is? Your help is greatly appreciated! ?

Three inches is the length of the cut. Size 5 in.

Specifically, I am interested in making an investment in 10" Kai How can I find out if they are available on amazon or directly from them? Is Amazon going to honor my warranty?

I thank you very much for your email, Kathleen. It is our warranty on the item itself, so no matter where you purchased it, it would still be covered by it.
With respect,
Gerrie

Is anyone using these scissors who is left-handed?

As well as the "Kai 7250L", it is also available in left-handed configuration People who have left hands. There are several places where you can find it, including Amazon.

I would have liked to give even more than five stars
5/5

I'm sorry. This is my. GOD IS GOOD. I finished cutting out the pattern about 20% of the way, and new scissors arrived, so I went straight to my cutting table to see how the new scissors worked! Please don't be alarmed -- the scissors were pointed down scissors cannot be used while running. As I was so excited, I cut about 12" along the edge of a sleeve, and I was blown away, so I had to write a AMAZING! I just cannot describe how amazing these are! Taking a knife to a fleece is like cutting through warm butter, there is no resistance, it is Despite its size, the handle is incredibly comfortable, and fits my hands perfectly. The scissors I have will allow me to cut many yards of fabric. My hands are always going to be a problem for me, and I can usually tell if the grip isn't going to be effective within a minute. A KAI is pure heaven in terms of grip and feel. Getting back to my question, what was it I used previously? The Fiskars Softouch spring action titanium nitride scissors It is an animal that chews, not one that cuts. That's why they're so terrible. * Please note Gingers The Ginghers have been in my family for a long time. I always had problems using them since they were too small for my hands, and they were very painful to use if I cut a lot. I liked them better than the Fiskars, but oh man, the Ginghers simply couldn't cut the same smooth flow as these KAIs. When I first bought Fiskars, why was I so eager to get to work on them?
Well, that's it. After an extended break of more than 15 years, I returned to sewing. As a result of reading reviews, I bought the FISKARS Softouch Spring Action Titanium Nitride Scissor 8" (*62). Review scores of $9. 00) are based on 9 In addition to the KAI scissors, I bought a tiny pair at the same time. Although I hadn't heard of KAI's brand of scissors before, a quilting teacher swore by them, and none of my friends sew, so I was sort of a greenhorn when it came to scissors. In a paper cutting attack my Ginghers were mauled and relocated to one of my children's homes where they were never Don't allow aggravation and discomfort to make your life any more difficult. These 8" KAI Prof. Shears are everything you could possibly hope for, and more. You are paying 55 bucks, but you'll get what you paid It is now 62 years since those Fiskars were born. A hard-to-find pair of 00 paper scissors is banished to the wrapping paper You can call me a lifelong KAI fan.

Kai shears are the only thing you need
5/5

The tools my wife uses to make memory bears have never occurred to me. She is a seamstress and makes memory bears. My interest in her condition became more piqued as I watched her struggle with a cut and sore fingers. Whenever I read a sewing forum or blog, Kai shears always seem to be at the top. I couldn't wait to give her the 7250's when they arrived before Christmas. There is no way to adequately describe how amazing it is to use these scissors. Multiple layers were cut through and it was just as easy as cutting one layer. We went through 16 layers for fun and it was just as easy as cutting one layer. It is impossible for her to express how glad she is to not have the pain in her fingers anymore. It's always nice to see things work better than we could have ever hoped. You're the best!.

A smooth ride
5/5

A sturdy piece. I have ever used the best scissors. Though I have a lot of experience with sailmaking, I bought these for general use. In the past, I have used Scotch, Fiskars, Stanley, and many $8 scissors as general purpose tools. Besides Gingher, Wiss, and Fiskars professional snips, I've had Wiss and Wiss scissors I think these scissors are better than all of them, and they are a little more expensive than the professional shears as well. The metal used in making these is impressive, far superior to the chromed, high carbon steel used in Ginghers. Also far superior to the cheap stainless used in the other brands. This material is different from the stainless steel used in other scissors. There is no doubt that this is excellent There are three kinds of stainless steel - carbon and martensitic. Carbon stainless steel, which is more susceptible to corrosion, and martensitic. However, the edge is sharp, and it'll stay that way for quite a while.

I have very large hands, and the finger holes fit just fine, and the soft plastic material feels very comfortable to the touch. The plastic lining in the finger holes is only for looks - the metal of the blades surrounds the finger hole completely! In general, the hinge seems to be in good condition- The designs are beautiful and the functionality is excellent. When you close cheap scissors, do you feel the friction these blades create as they rub against each other? This pair of shears doesn't make you feel any of those things. Moreover, they are as smooth and precise as any paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. shear, from the hinge to the tip. Whenever I need to use these scissors, I will do so in any manner I deem necessary, but they will not be abused, of course! I will only ever purchase the Kai micro serrated scissors if I ever need to buy another pair of scissors, as they are more heavy duty and I use them in the kitchen. I will have to live with these until I am able to do so, if ever.

I love it!
5/5

After reading a review where someone said the Kai Professional Shears were top of the line in comparison to the rest of the shears on the market, I bought them for my wife. I would have to say that the Kai 7250 scissors have been the best shears and scissors that we ever owned. Built to last, they are tough This is the last, and the sharpest. Japanese steel which is used for making the scissors ensures that the scissors can keep their edge for decades The Gingher knives used to be the best in my opinion, but these are higher on the list because these are tougher and constructed for the professional who has to effortlessly cut through clothing handle is dense and heavy, so it feels heavy when you hold it. This is quality at its best! It was worth the wait!.

This is the best pair of scissors! Since I started sewing 40 years ago, I have sewn The first thing I would like to say is that You can be in love with scissors (Can you believe it?) You can actually do that
5/5

The price is a bit high, but it is totally worth it. In fact, now that my hands become stiffer than they used to, I began thinking I might need something else, maybe something more precise. In addition to those machines, I have used Singer and Fiskars for many years. I have made clothing, tents, sleeping bags, guitar cases, down jackets, upholstered chairs, shade sails, etc. I became aware of the Covid pandemic after reading about it. While I stared at them every day, I decided to treat myself and buy these. I had yet to finish all my sewing and upholstery projects. I am stunned. You can use this to cut through a single layer of fabric as well as many layers of fabric. The lint does not build up Bringing the blade to the top. With layers, there is no binding. The door does not squeak. No matter what kind of fabric you are cutting, you're going to need to apply the same pressure to ensure a clean cut. It's a pleasure to use my hands.
