Heat is produced at the same temperature by an electric and a gas burner. In as long as there is no danger of the flames jumping outside of the pan, I see no reason why this lid would not keep the flames in the pan. (So, you believe a smaller pot should not be put on a larger burner, whether gas or electric?
It is made of silicone and is The rim is the same.
The fact that it is made in China does not affect how well it is made. This lid has proven to be a valuable accessory for me and I have been satisfied with my purchase. There are other unfavorable reviews on Amazon, but I have not had any problems with the product. Washing the lid by hand instead of in the dishwasher is my practice.
In general, you should fit perfectly if your pan measures 12" OUTER diameter and 11 1/2 INNER diameter (which is most 12" pans) (although many overseas pans use the metric system [mm]. This is the case with mine.

Their heavy metal lids are covered in glass and I really love their style. His chili was a big hit at the football party where he took it. In the end, he dropped and broke the lid of my pot when he was at the event. In his promise to replace it, he kept saying he would. However, it does not sell the lids separately, so I did not see the point of spending hundreds of dollars on a whole new pot and lid. Over the next few months, I kept telling him how upset I was that I could not prepare anything in my large pot or the other pans that shared a This is where Amazon and the Ecolution Universal lid come in. This is a great pot holder and very well suited for large pots. In fact, I have to say that the vent makes it even more useful than the one that came with it. In the absence of boiling over, there will be no damage. It is very easy to use because of the silicone handle. A fair price is being offered. It fits several other pans as well, which is a bonus. If I can afford it, I may buy another. Thank you for your kind words.
Read it first before moving on. It might be worth your time to read this before you buy. It is a great lid, I love it! We like it very much since it fits perfectly with our Ecolution pans. *Yes, it is a Universal lid, but it seems people do not understand that it is a Universal lid for Ecolution pans, not for It might be helpful for the seller to clarify this for those who missed it from These pans have a rubberized/silicone lip around the edges which is convenient and makes sense for them. We aren't saying that this should have a lower star rating because it might not work for you if you're looking for a universal lid that can fit other brands. I think it adds to the greatness of these.
Initially, I purchased the large lid but after using it for a while, I purchased the smaller one as well. But, I'm not sure why the lid fogs up so much. What gives? Glass lids with other seals do not do this, and I assume that's because these ones fit tighter and I eventually see it clear out. Besides showing water marks when they are hand washed, they are also the sort of material that dries without staining. You just have to hand dry them or put them in the dishwasher to get rid of the odor.
The price is good, and I also love the fact that I can use this on so many pots, and the sturdy and useful handle stays cool even after prolonged use. It's also great to cook on a gas stove with these.
Lids are essential to our lives, so why are they so difficult to handle? The lid is to be commended for its simplicity. It doesn't matter how you feel about this A burr crept into the screw that holds on the handle, causing a cut on both of my fingers. Of course, I cut my thumb on one hand, and also my forefinger on the other. I wish I knew what to do. I filed down the burr, but I still have a few nicks on my hands because I cut the burr! The long and short of it is This item is not up to standards when it comes to quality control.
A 12" baking pan should fit it if it says 12".
As soon as I heard about the concept, I was so ecstatic. Nevertheless, you need to take precautions. There is no way to do this! If the rubber part outside is silicone, is it made of that. When I used it for the first time, it molded. There is no way to fix this. Although you may think this top is pretty, there's a reason why all the others are either metal or glass!.
A black area with water spots is visible. This product I bought for a small sauce pot works well for cooking vegetables, but doesn't work well for steaming rice. When I try to steam white rice according to its package directions, too much liquid runs through either the sides or through the hole on top, which results in undercooked rice. When I found out that it only happened with this pot and lid combo, I changed my mind (or I blamed it on a chef error). I also have very soft water, so I have seen a lot of marks on the black portion of the lid (despite this being dishwasher safe). As a result, it doesn't affect its performance, but it makes it appear less attractive on the outside. They were impossible to scrub off manually either, and what's the point since it will just get put back in the D/W again and the spots will just show up again!.
This lid is 8" in diameter, and I love it. This fry pan handle fits all my 8" frying pans and is very comfortable to hold. As a universal lid, I was worried that because it is so wide, it would take up space in the 8" frypan. However, you find that there is enough slope so that this lid fits perfectly into an 8" frypan and does not take up much space. It appears that silicone is snug enough to fit securely on glass to prevent water from coming under the seal, as with some silicone lids. I could not fit this onto my Calphalon omelet pan which is supposed to be 8" in diameter but actually measures 8 and 1/4". The problem is with the pan as opposed to the lid, which is 25". The lid fits my other three brands of 8" pans, including the T-Fal ice cream pan with the same sizing I purchased a great fry pan on Amazon called the ultimate 8". It's great that I have a lid that fits 8" frypans without sticking out 2 inches on all four Exactly what I was looking for.
