Questions & Answers

This pot has previously been seen in a black finish. "Mug, black" is written on the script. Is this the black la cupola pot you're referring to? Thank you very much for your assistance. ?

Alessi does not have a black cupola pot. The handle and top knob are both black. This pot is better than the Moka pot in my opinion. They've all been in stainless steel and aluminum for me. They're both good, have a lot of flavor, and make better coffee. I hope this has been of assistance. The reference to a mug was lost on me.

Is it compatible with induction cooking?

What if I say I'm unsure? The Alessi, on the other hand, will make a great cup of espresso if you can boil water on the stovetop. And it's a beautiful piece of art, so don't hide it away.br>Show it off. Visitors will be drawn to it.

Is this to be cooked on the stove or in the oven?

I have an electric stove that works perfectly, and it also works on a gas stove. It's a lovely design that makes a fantastic espresso, but BEWARE. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever Hand wash, air dry, and reassemble to store after it has completely dried.

This is an outstanding pot
5/5

This tiny pot is one of my favorites. This size was purchased in order to reduce the number of cappuccinos I consumed on a daily basis. On the stove, it looks fantastic. This pot is far superior to the Bialetti I've been using, which blackens quickly and doesn't look great on the stove unless you want a grunge look. lolbr>br>The coffee is delicious, with a nice frothy crema. My only complaint is that it is extremely difficult to open. When I'm making a pot, I try not to tighten it too much. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for making it easier to open for cleaning.

Coffee maker that is clumsy and inefficient
3/5

This coffee maker is attractive on the outside, but the good times end there because it is extremely clumsy and impossible to store due to its large size. Its coffee isn't as good as my Bialietti's, and I'm not a fan of the fact that, despite its large footprint, it only makes 6 espresso cups; it's not my favorite moka pot.

The quality is exceptional
5/5

This appliance is extremely well-made. It's simple to use and produces approximately 8 ounces of espresso. It's simple to clean, and I'm confident it'll last a long time. I was attempting to replicate the espresso I had in Paris, and this has aided me in doing so at home.

Design and build quality are excellent
5/5

These pots, like the original Bialetti Moka Express, are modified percolators that build up a small amount of pressure in the sealed lower chamber before migrating to the upper chamber for serving, preventing the coffee from boiling. The drink, which is a mix of espresso and regular coffee, is known as mocha java or "moka" and is available almost everywhere in Italy. This pot is the largest of the three sizes available and was designed by Aldo Rossi for Alessi. The $300 Alessi La Conica, which is made of stainless steel and has a copper bottom, was also designed by Rossi. This model is similar to the previous one, but it's made of thick, highly polished cast aluminum and has a more substantial handle. It's beautifully finished to the high standard you'd expect from an Alessi product, and it makes a great brew after a couple of throwaway pots. I buy Lavazza beans and grind them medium to get a rich cup. I use the same blend I use for espresso. You should avoid using an espresso grind because it is too fine and will sludge your coffee. If you're using cream or frothed milk, a darker roast that can withstand the dilution is recommended. illy prepares a meal ahead of time. This is a ground "moka" blend that is consistently good, albeit pricey. br>br>This is a high-end item, and the only drawback is that it can be difficult to clean. The chemicals in the soap can oxidize the bare aluminum, turning it grayish black, so it should never be put in the dishwasher. Before reassembling the top, bottom, and funnel, all that is required is a simple sponge and hot water rinse, followed by a thorough towel drying. Allow it to cool completely before disassembling it, and always use a spoon to clean the grounds from the funnel filter. The compressed puck creates a vacuum seal in the lower chamber, making funnel removal nearly impossible until the seal is broken. Finally, unlike with a porto-potty, don't slam the funnel against a knock box or trash can. Because the first whack will knock it out of round, you'll need to replace it. br>br>While it is pricey for its 6 demitasse capacity, I doubt you will be disappointed with your purchase.

It's a lovely product, and it makes making coffee a breeze. When the package arrived, I immediately put it to use, and it was a success. This review may be updated in the future.

This item may be a work of art, but it is not functional and is far too expensive
3/5

It's inconvenient to use, and it only yields one cup of coffee. It's not something I'd go out of my way to purchase again.

Design that makes you feel better
5/5

It's beautiful to look at and to have in my house! The design is charming and classic with a modern twist. Yes, it only makes one shot of espresso, and it's not a particularly long shot, so if you want more, get the larger model (everything in America has to be bigger and more)! I make use of my three-piece set. I get it because I drink Cupola on a regular basis. When used properly, this item performs exactly as it should. It can't fail because it's a simple tool with basic physics, but it's stunning! br>br>Once it starts to gurgle, don't leave it on the stove! Only fill the water up to the nut on the side. br>br>My only gripe is that I can't seem to find a replacement gasket for it, but I'm still hopeful!.
