Metal is used to create the cap.
I've never tried, so I'm not sure. I've just washed the outside with earth water and dish soap because it's so small and watertight. I've had no problems putting other items from the same line in the dishwasher. I'm not sure I'd put the cap in the dish washer with all the sparklies on it.

I'm not sure, but there's no metallic taste. However, I wouldn't waste your money on these glitter ones because the glitter on the outside comes off after a few hours. I was a little let down.

I only gave it two stars because it's super cute and I really like it, but. The finish is wearing off and the sparkles on the top are coming off after only one use and being kept in my purse. It's something I'd like to return, but I've already used it.
The rhinestone cap is stunning, as is the glitter color! The glitter coloring looks best in direct sunlight or outside, but it's still lovely in dim light. I haven't used it yet because I don't really need a flask, but it's so lovely that I couldn't resist buying it; I'll make sure to find a use for it!.
It's adorable, but I'm not impressed with it. It was a present for my 30th birthday, and I planned to take it to Vegas with me. I was ecstatic when it finally arrived. I noticed scratches on the flask's back and sides when I first opened the box. There are no rhinestones on the lid, and there is dirt inside. Looks that were employed.
If they made a bigger one, I'd buy another.

Thank you so much!br>I'm not sure if I got a knockoff or not, but this doesn't look like anything I've seen in stores. The crystals on the lid are different sizes, some of them are covered in glue, and some of them overlap in certain areas. I have brumates and they are always of excellent quality, so I'm not sure what's wrong with this flask. I've emailed them about a replacement and will update this rating based on their response. I bought this as a gift, but I won't be able to give it to anyone.
First and foremost, the packaging is stunning. I was instantly smitten after unboxing! I only wish it were a little larger, but then it wouldn't be as portable. I can't praise this flask highly enough! It's tough, keeps your liquor cold, won't spill once closed, and comes with a mini funnel to make pouring easier! It turned out to be an excellent investment.
You're a jerk for leaving out a funnel, brumate. It's a simple, low-cost addition that would make your product much more usable right away.
