This soufflé dish is no exception. It's stunning, of excellent quality, and enormous. It's about twice as big as the rest of my soufflé dishes. I imagine I'd be cooking for a large family or even my entire neighborhood. It measures a little more than eight inches in diameter and three inches in height. I'm not convinced a soufflé of this size will rise properly. I'll see how motivated I am to prepare a meal for a large group. I'll most likely use it for something else until then. For example, a baked noodle casserole or a deep dish ple tart. You can even use it as a serving dish for a hearty stew. A bowl of popcorn comes highly recommended by my boyfriend. Yes, it can be used for a variety of purposes, but because of its size, I'll be using my smaller soufflé dishes the majority of the time.
9 in. Unfortunately, for me and a 9-year-old, this inaccurate information is critical. One is far too large for my needs. This information should be corrected by the seller.
For baking certain breads, the weight and size are ideal.
I would strongly recommend this dish because it is of high quality. Arrived on time and in good condition.
This is a lovely bowl that also happens to be a workhorse. I've made the same recipes in this bowl that I've made in a variety of other similar type bowls in the past, and they've all turned out better in this bowl. It's as if I'm infusing my cooking with a dash of magic. This purchase made me very happy.
