Yes, this meter has two LR44 batteries built in, and it doesn't need to be calibrated because it comes pre-calibrated. Well-calibrated in the factory.
Yes. TDS, EC, and Temperature are all measured in one device. It can be used in hydroponics, and using a TDS meter to measure ppm in hydroponics is very interesting. A ppm meter, such as this one, is used to determine your nutrient count in hydroponics. Please keep in mind that this is for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) rather than pH.
TDS is a type of water tester. The EC has a replaceable battery.
Yes, this TDS meter can test TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), EC (Electric Conductivity), and TEMPERATURE in a fish tank aquarium, as well as monitor water quality.

I was initially skeptical of the results, which showed that tap water had a pH of 200, filtered fridge water had a pH of 150, and filtered bottled water had a pH of 190. The filtered water was tested at 180 degrees Fahrenheit at room temperature. It didn't seem to make any sense to me. br>br>I only had faith in the results after testing it against distilled water and seeing a perfect zero. With the addition of bottled water, the numbers gradually increased. Cool. br>br>Also, temperature has an impact on TDS measurements, as you can see here: "The conductivity of ions in water is affected by the temperature of the water. When the water is warm, ions move more quickly. If you want to compare apples to apples, make sure the water is the same temperature. Finally, this led me to believe that TDS measurements aren't particularly useful when testing drinking water. What good is a low TDS number if you don't know what's being filtered out? Bottled water can have TDS levels as high as 190 and still taste great. I understand that spring water contains minerals that enhance its flavor. You'll only be able to tell if the filter you're testing is removing *some* information, but not whether it's the correct information. br>br>However, the product did exactly what it said it would and at a reasonable price.
For the price, it's just a rough estimate based on parts per mil and temperatures. Otherwise, it isn't entirely accurate.
Except for the far right on the display, which appears to be messed up or something, it appears to work.
