A caliper is what I used to measure both the ID and OD of this product. A 1/4 inch ID is found on the rubber, and the 3/8 inch diameter is found on the plastic end of the hydrometer. It should be noted that the rubber is very pliable when attached to the plastic end. The following information is provided to you in hopes of helping you.

Sticks for floating on the water. To the extent that I can, I prefer buying products made in the USA over foreign-made It is usually associated with a quality product since made in America keeps Americans employed. Recently, I purchased an E-cig, which is made in the USA In addition to a Z Red hydrometer for my car battery, I also have one for my Because I have no reference in front of me to compare to, I am unable to comment on the accuracy however, the build quality is not that impressive on either of the E-Nicks I would like to recommend Z-Red Tools. I have to shake the tool until I think the float on the coolant hydrometer is where it should be, and also the float tends to stick. It is very easy for me to use these tools, but for those unfamiliar with their operation, they will need to use Google for instructions, since neither comes with instructions. Upon receiving my newly ordered refractometer, I will use it as a reference to compare against the E-coefficient Hydrometers in the Z Red color. A discrepancy will be updated in this review if one exists.
Upon checking both my vehicles the one had coolant that was good to go and the other did not. When it gets to 50°F, my truck will only operate properly if it gets to -10°F Because you should level the device to get good readings, these numbers are approximate. It is a simple and easy to understand tool, but is To make sure that the device is level, make sure it is Only a line across the top is available in this regard, and it is borderline hard to distinguish from the background. The better way will be easy to do (make the left edge of the unit flat so that it can be put against a wall). The thermometer works fine. I used it to test my newly changed BMW 50/50 coolant and it read exactly 40 degrees Celsius. Graduation marks and all text on the unit and all marks are on stickers, which is why it has 4 stars. It would have been better if it had been carved into the plastic rather than etched on it. A sticker may eventually degrade or fall off over time, but overall I love it and it's great value for the price.

When I gently pull the antifreeze into it to avoid air bubbles, the reading seems to be within 5 degrees, at the most. I get a reading between - and - The 34th and - the remainder A hydrometer indicating that it is OK at 60 F could only tell me that it is at -45 F. When it was above a 60/40 mix (34F) and when it was more than 50/50.
Even the same antifreeze is read by the tester wildly differently. The package came in the mail for home use, but I am not sure that I can trust it. It read that I had protection to 0 degrees for tap water. The cost of an antifreeze tester is unnecessary for me since I have been a mechanic for more than forty years.
When I bought it, I planned on using it occasionally, so it's perfect. I don't know how the system would hold up in a commercial setting.
