The water should flow in the direction indicated by the arrow on the T fitting.

Poor craftsmanship necessitated adjustments that should not have been necessary

I purchased and installed this flow switch, but it did not function properly. When I took the new flow switch out of the tee, I discovered this. To get it to work properly, I had to move the flap part back about 1/2" from the post.
