To close this flow switch and turn on the appliance, you'll need a gpm setting.
The device, as far as I can tell, contains a small magnetic "pill." A magnetic reed switch is located outside of the flow. It's nothing more than a bent strip of conductive metal that, when pulled by a magnet, will lower onto a contact. The flow of water pushes the magnet to one side as it passes through the pipe part. This attracts the conductive strip, which is drawn down and makes contact, completing the circuit and turning on whatever electrical device is connected to it. I'm fairly certain that high-quality The "pill" would be pushed out of the circuit by high-pressure air, but this could be affected by turbulence and other factors. Unless I happen to have one of these lying around, I'd look for a switch designed for air flow (I'm sure they exist).

The switch remains ON after I turn off the water, and there is no way to turn it off unless I uninstall it and completely empty it of water. If I mount it again after that, it behaves the same way.
After months of use with water, it stopped working, despite the fact that it had a filter to keep sediments out of the sensor's workings. It was great until it stopped working.
About a month ago, I replaced the old one with this new one, and it performs as expected. Amazon had the best deal I could find. com. Nearly twice as much was demanded by local dealers! And I found it for up to three times the price in other locations on the internet!.
It was exactly what we were looking for. Arrived on time and appears to be in good working order.
good deal.
excellent work.
