Questions & Answers

The screw-on lid on my current fsa is leaking water. Would a replacement part be sufficient to solve that minor issue?

Yes, I believe it would solve the leaking issue, but because the fsa has an o-ring, you might want to just tighten the screw on it. The leak is sealed by a ring under it.

What would cause the kitchen sink to heat up but not the shower, which is only running one at a time? All three heating elements are in good working order. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude. ?

The flow rate principle is used to operate the waterless heater, which is made up of three separate heating elements housed within a copper manifold. The flow meter's plastic internal fins will melt. Ecosmart FSA QC MEDLRG ECO 24 Replacement Part $18 It's also a good idea to get a part that turns on and off the power to the heating element. Technical support is available to walk you through the troubleshooting process.

Is this compatible with the Eco Model 18?

It will fit model 18 without a problem. On my end, I had to replace it.

Is this a genuine Ecosmart spare part?

Yes, that is correct. I put it in my tankless water heater and have had no problems with it.

I found it to be the only option for my water heater, but I do not recommend it
3/5

The sensor rotor is not designed for the temperatures in which water heaters operate. Our first sensor failed a few days ago. After a year of use, the factory rotor had melted, according to my inspection. I ordered two of these to replace the factory unit and have a back-up for the next year. My wife took a long-awaited hot shower after the first unit was installed, but the heater wouldn't turn on again after she was finished. It was warm when I touched the sensor. To inspect the sensor, I disassembled it again and discovered this rotor in this state. I replaced the sensor and reduced the temperature of our heater from 140 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the hopes of saving our last rotor. After starting our dishwasher and hearing an unusual noise 3 minutes into the cycle, we turned it off to let it cool before inspecting, only to discover that the rotor had melted again after less than 10 minutes of use. Under normal use, I was able to get rid of two of these units in under two hours. br>br>Unfortunately, I discovered that these work well while the cold water inlet is cooling the inlet to the water heater, but once the system is turned off, the heat spreads out through the heater's lines. The rotor is destroyed by the heat once the hot water reaches this sensor. Although 140 degrees Fahrenheit is on the high side for a heater, 120 degrees Fahrenheit is pretty standard, so the fact that both units failed so quickly astounded me. Fortunately, I took careful notes on all of the rotor dimensions, and I intend to print a new rotor out of a more heat-resistant material in the future to avoid melting.

Not in the same way as the first

however. After reading other reviews and seeing pictures of this replacement part, I assumed I would get a factory replacement without the ecosmart sticker. It's not the same as the original. br> The quality of the parts appears to be poor. Different in terms of feeling and appearance The internal impeller is not the same as the one that came with the machine. This appears to be a more affordable option. br>However, the parts can be swapped out. I didn't want to take the meter apart in its entirety. br>br>Did not leak and appears to be functional. br>The only reason I gave it three stars is that my preset temperature no longer corresponds to the temperature of the water. br>br>I have a feeling it's this flow meter, but I'll give it some more thought and see what I can come up with. After that, I'll revise this assessment. Even though the parts appear to be interchangeable, br>br>UPDATEbr>br> Not at all. br>Because I noticed a temperature difference after replacing the impeller and top circuit board cover, I decided to remove the entire housing and replace it with the new one. The housing is a little different on the inside. Everything now functions as it should. br>br> I didn't want to replace the entire unit because I was too lazy. br>This is not a good idea because temperature differences will occur. br>br>The only reason I gave it five stars is because I still believe some of the parts are of poor quality.

Flow sensor for Rheem tankless water heaters
5/5

My Rheem tankless water heater has stopped working and is no longer producing hot water. I contacted Rheem, who informed me that I would require a new flow sensor and provided me with a link to this flow sensor. I replaced the part in less than 5 minutes, and voila, hot water was restored in the house, and the wife was once again happy. This flow sensor was an exact match for the original and only cost $18. I'm not sure how much a plumber would have charged for the same work. I expect these sensors to fail from time to time, so I'll be purchasing another to keep on hand in case it does.

It's not good
3/5

It arrived completely melted inside, and when I tried to test how it works and nothing happened, I removed it and opened it to see why it wasn't working, only to discover that the inner plastic wheel had completely melted for no apparent reason. So I had to reuse my old plastic wheel from the old part and install it on the housing of the new one I bought to get it to work, and it worked perfectly after that!.

When I ordered it, it was not what I expected
3/5

To begin with, the installation should have been simple. There are two plumbing connections as well as an electrical plug. This is not the case with this part: the parts appear to be very similar (pictures 01 and 02), but the electrical connection is different (pictures 02 and 03). With a little work, the wires can be altered and used. However, without cross threading, the part would not fit into the larger pipe fitting. I finally decided to toss it out. I'm going to try a different location.

ECO 18 has been fixed
5/5

On our Ecosmart ECO-100, this replaced a leaking sensor. The circuit board on the old one had corroded due to the leak and was no longer functional. I simply used the guts from the new one to replace the old one, avoiding the need to completely rewire the system. The flow meter impeller design was only slightly different in that the old one had a snap ring and the new one did not, but the entire assembly, including the center pin, could be easily removed. The new one was a perfect fit and was completely leak-proof. free. Although I had to remove the electrical connector on the new one because the old one only had screw terminals, the wire colors were all the same. Overall, it was a simple fix, and we now have running water.

Simply go ahead and purchase it
4/5

Watch videos and learn new things. It's been more than a month and things are still going well. Because our old one was leaking water everywhere, I watched a few videos and read a few articles before purchasing this. Thankfully, I'm smarter than my husband and had done some research beforehand, so I knew exactly what to do and how to make everything work out, even though the part was slightly different. Guys, it's just common sense.

I worked for a total of six months
3/5

The original sprung a leak, and I had to replace it, but the unit only lasted 6 months before it electronically failed, leaving me with intermittent power and hot water. Despite its appearance, this is not the easiest part to install, and I'm annoyed that I didn't get much time out of it!.
