Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with Apple? If that isn't the case, where can I look for it?

This logger is only compatible with Windows systems. We recommend Onset's HOBO or Senonics' Minnow lines for Mac OS compatible loggers. Both companies provide Mac-compatible software.

Is it possible to install the Lascar USB drivers on Windows 10?

Yes, Windows 10 is supported by the software and drivers.

Is it possible to use the device in the rain for several weeks?

We don't recommend using this device in the outdoors for long periods of time. It has an IP67 rating, which means it's dust-proof and can withstand immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter. Long-term moisture exposure increased the likelihood of moisture getting under the cap and corroding the electronics. If used outside, we recommend covering it with a protective cover or enclosure to protect it from the elements.

Hello, do you have the user manual?

Hello, on the Lascar Electronics website, there is a quick start guide as well as numerous 'How to' videos; please let us know if you require any assistance. We've been working with Lascar for more than three decades and were the first family in the United States to sell their products. Best. 3DL

This is a fantastic temperature and humidity recorder! The product is performing as expected
4/5

This purchase has exceeded my expectations. The only drawback is that the unit no longer includes a software CD; instead, you must download the latest software from the company's website. That's fine, except for the fact that the website was broken. I couldn't set up the device for the first couple of days, so I went online and found a software site with the most recent software and installed it. The software appears to be quite basic. but it works fine on XP/SP3 and I've had no issues with it. I was also able to open the CSV file in OpenOffice Calc without any issues. For the past week and a half, my unit has been monitoring temperature and humidity in a ventilated enclosure near a crop field. I appreciate the unit's weather protection. The information gathered thus far corresponds to readings from nearby airports. While the LCD version may be useful for some, I don't think it's necessary. There's no reason to pay the higher price and sacrifice battery life if you're going to leave the unit on for days at a time (I check/download/reset the unit once a week).

I've been using it to check the accuracy of a baseboard heater control, and it's a great tool
4/5

It's perfect for this, and it's allowed me to set the thermostat so that the room is always comfortable and temperature perception discussions are no longer necessary. Despite the fact that outside temperatures are similar to last year, since I've been able to monitor the temperature in this room, my electricity usage has decreased slightly. I also got one to keep track of the temperature in the office where I spend the majority of my time. br>br>The only reason I got the USB version is because the wifi version uses the b wireless standard. I chose the USB model because I didn't want to change my n wireless network to the much slower b. While physically handling the USB for data collection is inconvenient, it is preferable to my wireless network being slowed. Would I buy more of these? br>br>Would I buy more of these? Probably. Would I replace the two I have and buy more for other tasks if they had wireless and were still reasonably priced? Without a doubt.

I've had the Lascar temperature and dew point datalogger for about two weeks and it's a fantastic product
5/5

When I first installed the driver, it caused me some issues. It kept failing to recognize the logger and dropping out. It appears to be working fine for the time being after several reinstallations. It's possible that the company will need to update the software. In any case, this datalogger is extremely useful. I work for a large corporation as a service technician. Checking the temperatures in refrigerators to see if they are working properly (maintaining proper temperatures in both the freezer and the refrigerator) is something I find very useful. The device is extremely precise.

Calibre is excellent
4/5

This is exactly what I needed: a temperature and humidity logger with data that can be downloaded. This is how I use it with a Lascar EL-100. USB2- Both the LCD and the digital display produce identical results. I've also compared it to other weather stations, and they all appear to be in good working order. Because it's small, it'll be difficult to notice. I like the Windows software, but I'd like a Mac version as well.

USB temperature recorder that works flawlessly
5/5

This handy device is fantastic. The unit is self-contained and attaches to the computer. You tell it how often you want readings and when you want them to begin; I used it in my attic and various rooms of the house to keep track of temperature and humidity during a hot summer. Assisted in determining Central Air settings and whether or not to install insulation or an attic fan. This program generates attractive graphs. The only requirement is that you have a basic understanding of computers. Long battery life and a large reading memory.

It appeals to me
5/5

At work, I use it to keep an eye on temperature and humidity fluctuations as I work on and calibrate lab equipment. The software lets me customize the number of data points per minute and plots the Temperature and Humidity Trend Lines. I'm not concerned with absolute accuracy in the readings because I'm more interested in the amount and rate of change over time. br>This Lascar EL-100 is perfect for me. USB- 2 and the software performs exactly as expected. Get a Wet Bulb/Dry Bulb thermometer set if you need extremely precise measurements. Temp and % R are extremely reliable and reliable and reliable and reliable% However, there is a significant lag!!.

So far, everything appears to be working properly
5/5

After a week of use, the dataloggers seem to be performing admirably. The software was simple to download and install from the manufacturer's website, and the devices themselves are simple to set up and use: extremely plug-in and-play.
