I've used it in a wide range of temperatures, from - to +. The temperature ranges from 5 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Environments with a lot of dust, rain, wind, and other elements work well for this. It has never been used in a factory. As long as the oring seals on the battery compartment are in good shape, I believe it will hold up well in a power plant environment (i.e., areas where people can access it). This isn't something I'd trust with a critical plant. In areas where there is a lot of metal, the bluetooth wireless connection may have issues.

It was a huge waste of money

I went through two brand new batteries in a week, so it has a lot of power (despite the fact that I changed the settings so it didn't report data as frequently). It also takes a long time to report information, despite the fact that it is near a window and a router. To get them to connect, I had to go stand in the coop and hold my Galaxy S10 phone right next to it. I was extremely disappointed.

This is an excellent temperature and humidity recorder

On a recent backpacking trip, I brought this with me. For the entire week, I had it set to record temperatures every ten minutes. It was a huge success. I was able to download the logged data and graph the temperatures for the trip after that. It's a fantastic way to see how the weather changed throughout the trip - Especially late at night when the temperature dropped below zero.
