Is this product made with lithium batteries or lithium polymer batteries?

Powered by one of two 8-volt batteries, the gauge can be read both day and night. The NiMH battery uses 4V for charging or the AC adapter uses 12V for charging. It may be necessary to recharge the unit after using the battery for an extended period of time as these batteries are subject to self discharge.
