It is made of good quality glass.
This just means that they are repeating the claims made by the previous sellers of the same item, and are not entirely sure about it. There are approximately half a dozen Amazon sellers of rebranded versions of this, all manufactured by the same factory, at any given time. My experience is that I have had two from different sellers (lost one, broke one, about to order another - perhaps this one as it's the best deal with a Other than the labels on them, they are all the same. I would say the magnification is around 2x to 3x at the most. This is still quite useful, and I really enjoy using it. If you're reading on a book, magazine, or wall, it's best positioned directly on something like that. Magnifiers of other types should be held at different distances. A variety of types is good, as they can be used for various needs A few examples.

This is the latest update My colleague and I were reviewing some drawings this morning when I dropped something to the floor, since we have had it for a while now. As the upper ring and glass detached, they bounced and rolled after separating from the bottom one. A stop sign appeared on his chest. It was a relief to see that everything was back to normal. It is simply a matter of snapping back in place the upper components that were compression fitted. As well as applying outside pressure, I had to apply pressure from inside to get it back in place, but now everything works as it should. As well as having a chance to inspect the construction of this, it allowed me to inspect the materials I like that it's well made, and that the edges around where the upper ring attaches are large enough that they will likely never break to the point where the piece will be impossible to repair. There's a reason why you need to buy this. This is the original review A year is no problem for me since I have to review a lot of documents and drawings as an engineer. The good news is I've used it when necessary I hold a rectangular 5x/8x magnifying glass so I can see what I'm looking at, whether it's a "B" or an "8" or something totally different. Recent projects that have taken a serious toll on the eyes In view of the strain involved, I decided that I really needed a lighted magnifier and bought It says on the box that this magnifier is for 3 megapixels. This is 6 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall, and I believe it to be the right size. There are two lenses in the package I need a container that is 3 1/4 inches in diameter to hold everything Two indented rings on the side of the base help you hold it the base is made of brushed aluminum. To assist with slipping it on and off, the top ring (aluminum in color) is embedded with dozens of softer rings. There is no flaring out of the bottom since the sides run perpendicular to the desk surface. With a weight of a little more than 8 ounces (about half a pound), it would also make an appropriate paperweight. According to the Amazon image, the color is similar to the blue version I ordered There's sort of a baby blue hue to it. The magnifier has an on/off switch to prevent the LEDs from being accidentally switched on by mistake. I'm very impressed by how well the item is made. Despite the solid body and good optics, the overall design is very appealing. This lens has no distortion at all and has an aperture of *2. The 5x might be a little too much for me There is a quality feel to this glass. As soon as you read the instructions, you'll figure out how to turn them on (after flipping the While I understand the 5x description, I can't quite grasp the explanation. Even though the description appears to be 2x, I see the exact same thing in all other similar-looking games The specs are available on Amazon, so I assume they are industry standard, and the items aren't actually meant to seem bigger than they actually are. I can imagine that with the "5x" magnification plus the three decently bright LEDs, it helps you see fine prints and splinters in your hand more clearly. My photos were taken from a distance of 3ft, 2ft, 1ft and 6". I would absolutely buy this again, but with different expectations. The angle was taken from about 9" away.
