In the best of circumstances, this can be advantageous, but it can also be frustrating when it slides out of its bracket and you are not expecting it to, and this happens quite often, so I will soon replace this pole and have a spare on hand. The last thing, and I didn't think about it until now, is that I do not to mention this lastly, and this was also commented on in other reviews, the base does not appear to be well secured. There is even a warning note included with the pole to be careful when using it. The tool in the picture is a journeyman tool, not some delicate, sophisticated device.
