I used to own (and technically still do) a single-family home. endoscope with a lens that connects to my phone via wifi It works fine, but it took some time to set up, and I haven't used it in a while because I frequently need to update my phone's app or troubleshoot simple issues; this model, on the other hand, is a welcome change of pace, as I can always count on the unchanging screen to work with the USB-C port. endoscope with a connection- Of course, this assumes that I've fully charged it. br>br>In my brief experience with this endoscope, I've been very pleased. At first, I thought dual lens was a gimmick, and I doubt I'll use it very often, but I've seen times when twisting it to get the tip pointed at just the right angle can be tricky, so after trying it out in a wall cavity while doing an ethernet trace, I quickly came to appreciate having the dual lens option to get a better awareness of what's going on where I can't look with my own two eyes. br>br>To take a step back, the first thing I see is a reasonable-looking man. case of high quality It doesn't feel particularly high-end, but it's also not so bad that I'd dismiss it out of hand. It serves its purpose, which is to keep my screen, scope, and accessories (tip accessories, charging cables, and so on) all in one place and protected. Given that my previous wifi endoscope lacked one, I was relieved to discover that this one did. Given the screen's non-square dimensions, the square shape appears odd, but it's likely that Depstech was attempting to keep the cable coiled in a circle, which fits better in a square than a rectangle. However, I believe it could have been tweaked a little to better match the shape of the screen unit itself, which would be useful for future revisions/models. br>br>Of course, in my excitement, I took the screen unit out of the box, turned it on, and plugged in the scope (all without reading the instructions). I was able to switch between single and dual lens display mode, take still photos and videos, toggle light settings, and use the display's built-in flashlight after about 30 seconds of tinkering. The buttons usually have two modes, with a short press activating one function and a long press activating another. After a few tries, I started getting it right on the first try, though I'm sure if I put it away for a while and come back to it, I'll be able to reverse whether the button orientation is short|long or long|short. br>br>I think the photos turned out pretty well. I'm not picky about the highest-quality photos here, and I believe expectations should be reasonable, but once the lights were set to an appropriate brightness and the scope was in the proper position, I had no real complaints about being able to make out any details. I don't need to save images for the purposes I have in mind as a homeowner, but it's nice to have the option, and there's a micro SD card included that should suffice. Using (included) external storage is convenient because I don't have to worry about running out of space if I have a spare microSD, though my use will likely be limited to looking for whatever I need live inside a wall or pipe. br>br>I can't say I've personally tested the IP67 waterproofing, so I'm hoping it holds up. I'll still be cautious when handling the screen because it doesn't feel like a tank, but it doesn't appear to be poorly made either- The finish is nice, and everything is in its proper place. The only thing I don't like about it is the flap that covers the storage slot, reset button, and charging port; it serves its purpose, but it feels like one of the lower quality parts on the unit. br>br>The only thing I don't like about it is the flap that covers the storage slot, reset button, and charging port; it serves its purpose, but it feels like one of the lower quality parts on the unit. It'll probably last a long time, especially since I only expect to use it when I need to plug in the charging cable, so I don't expect to have any problems with it, but it's the only thing that doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the unit. Nonetheless, it does not appear to be a significant issue. br>br>Overall, this appears to be a well-made unit at a reasonable price; however, the dual lens and display quality will likely raise the price a little, putting it out of reach for some users. There are less expensive options that can do a good portion of what this unit can do, but after using it, I appreciate the extras even more. Was it necessary to invest in a dual lens camera? No, I doubt it. But I can see it being useful in the future.
Because the camera has a screen attached to it, it can be used without the need for a phone or tablet, as other endoscope cameras do. br>With just one button to choose between video and picture, this camera is well worth the money. br>The included 32GB memory card is more than enough to record video and take photos without the need to purchase additional cards. br>File transfer from the camera to the computer was simple and quick. br>The carrying case is of good quality and is large enough to hold the camera and accessories with room to spare.
phone- version that must be used I'm glad I did, based on the feedback I've received so far. I've been battling cabinet wiring for YEARS. "How do I find out what I really did with removing everything and starting over once a cable (cdmi, usb, speakers, etc. ) has been plugged in?" once a cable (cdmi, usb, speakers, etc. ) has been plugged in. " This teeny-tiny item - Model DS40 by Depstech - performs its function! It's one of the things I'm glad I bought. So far, the only issue has been a sporadic display of images. I realized I hadn't completely plugged the usb cable into the unit after wriggling some cables. To ensure a secure connection, press firmly on the unit end until it "clicks. " The issue has been resolved. This has a plethora of applications. br>br> I don't need to move the washing machine to figure out where the leak is coming from. Using the endoscope is all that's required! Underneath the stove, something rolled. the endoscope should be obtained. I misplaced a screw in the depths of the night - the endoscope should be obtained! There are numerous applications for this material. I was a satisfied customer.
•An aluminum thread on hook and a thread on magnet are included in the travel case. There's also an SD card port key and a replacement lens cap. br>•Switch from view 1 to view 2 to view 3 of picture over picture with a single button press. br>•A red button on the upper righthand side can also be used to take pictures and videos. br>•Another button can be used to reverse the camera view. br>•In one photo, I'm pointing to a light on it, which is deep inside our timing cover and makes it very easy to see where it is in the dark. br>•The one with the green goop is our leaking water pump, which you can see in the video flowing out in a clear pictured video. This is incredible in terms of clarity. •The one with just a belt is a side camera shot; the angle we were in makes it appear to be nothing special, but it shows a clear view, albeit a little blurry due to my husband's presence rather than the camera. Both of them were clearly visible to the camera. •Then there's the picture-over-picture perspective! It's possible to see what both cameras are seeing, and it has no effect on the clarity. br>•The battery life is fantastic; he used it for 3 hours and 30 minutes! It barely moved on its life bar, as if he hadn't used it at all! •There are only a few things that could make this even better in my opinion. The first is a rubberized coating on the shell that protects it from falls and prevents it from slipping. Two options for cable length would be 16ft and 16ft, respectively. 16ft would be too long for us, but 16ft would be ideal for someone else. Aside from that, it's the best boroscope I've ever had.
I'm so happy I purchased this endoscope. I have another endoscope that connects to my iPhone, but it has a short battery life and only one camera. So I decided to give it a try. I love having two cameras because it allows me to see things from different perspectives. I wasn't expecting to be able to see both views in split screen mode at the same time. It's a lot easier than switching between views. In addition, this device had excellent battery life; I am very pleased with this device, especially for the price!.
