Product Description

With the testo smart probe set contractors and technicians can measure and calculate heating and cooling systems more accurately, making it ideal for HVAC and refrigeration installations.
Included instead of three parts are two testo 115i pipe-clamp thermometers, two testo 549i high pressure gauges, as well as a protective hard-shell case with compartments that have been precisely sized to fit inside every testo product
With a grip of up to 1, the Testo 115i is a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. In pipes smaller than 5", the wireless thermometer gives you quick and accurate temperature readings as well as flow and return measurements
A high and low pressure reading can be accurately obtained using Testo 549i's pressure meter. Service and troubleshooting are simplified with the 45-degree connector - there are no hoses to connect
With the free testo Smart Probes App, you can remotely read and log measurements and create custom reports, which can then be saved and shared with other people

Questions & Answers

There is a Bluetooth improvement in the 2nd generation, or is it just that the 45 degree connections have been updated?

Bluetooth can now be used up to 350 feet away

What are the connectors like on this? Do they angle or are they ?

An angle of 45 degrees

When it is marketed as being able to be used for commissioning, does it measure micron vacuum?

The machine does not have an onboard vacuum gauge.

It does not compensate for the temperature! I don't think so
3/5

This refrigeration system is designed to drive a truck's direct drive system. It seems to work ok inside truck box bodies with gauges, but a few meters range through the sandwich panel is limited due to 2mm steel inside the sandwich wall. Bluetooth works within open areas, but there is only few meters range through the sandwich panel. A thermometer should be accurate and good in all ranges. My opinion is, however, that the sensor itself is too long, as the sensors extend far beyond the lip of the clamp by about 5 mm. If you use Burgaflex fittings for example, you can't clamp it on. While sad, this is not a critical situation. It is the pressure probes that pose the greatest problem. This is what it says in its manual In all cases, accuracy specifications are referred to a nominal temperature of 22°C. I've found that 22°C is the best temperature for them, they work as they I agree, but. They were zeroed and I put on the evaporator when it was approximately zero A temperature of 20°C inside is necessary for the measurement of A problem came to my attention, so I unplugged the probe from the evaporator and was electrocuted. A 0 instead of a It showed me a 0 bar bar graph. A bar of 5 Bars. There are about 6 of them The distance is only 7 degrees! With temp -, it was once again zeroed Once you reached 20°C, you plugged it back in, so the gauge showed up as an analog one. On the high side, even at room temperature, it can get hot from the copper line or the steel fitting, and when disconnected, can have a "hot" spot. You are at 88 bars. So that's how much it costs to not have to plug in hoses. In addition to using hose, you should also use a cooling jacket to prevent heat from the line. Ok, I understand, thanks for your help - There is a critical threshold of ambient temperature of 40°C for any probe and temperature-compensated sensors are generally more expensive, but I had hoped for at least some Couldn't it be designed to be used only for low side probes? It wouldn't make much sense to not integrate a few dollars thermostat in the probe to measure the ambient temperature and correct the pressure in Smart Probes App! There seems to be a linear relationship leading to errors, and multiplication by temperature coefficient could minimalize drift by reducing the error rate. As a result, I am very disappointed. I am required to make a lot of additional movements in order to work the probes. My low-key nature enables me to keep low-key Numbed to - with side probe The temperature will reach 20°C and will be high You don't even want to touch rezero button when the side is at +40°C. I have also minimized Testo's horrible temperature drift by using my method.

Take care, and double-check what you've written Make sure they are measuring correctly.

I am happy with the performance of half the kit
3/5

We received the product as expected in good condition and on time. We are very satisfied with the pressure sensors. I used the set the first time it arrived. The temperature sensor on at least one of the machines is If we measure the suction line temperature of a freezer at the condenser, we will find that When the probes were placed in 30 degrees F, they reported There are 9 degrees difference between the two clamped on the same pipe right next to each other. They can't be used for super heat readings because I have no idea which one is not working. They are only a few tenths of a degree off from a warm pipe, 80 deg F. Having spoken to Testo, I am interested in his services. There is a warranty on them, so I'm going to return them. As far as I can tell, calibration paperwork included with the kit is not worth the paper it's In the event that I get temperature sensors that work, I will update the comment. Here's an update. Upon returning the temperature sensors to the factory, they were confirmed to be in good working order. Their tests do not involve testing at low temperatures, however. The condition persists when the temperature sensors on freezers are unsung. Since I no longer operate them on temperatures below freezing, I only use them for air conditioners and coolers. They don't work when working on systems with low temperatures. It is a real disappointment.

This is a joke

They're horrible. Despite having all manuals in the same language, I could not figure out how to change the pressure setting and the temperature setting.

Eh, I can't live without them
5/5

My 563's had been left in the rain for one month as a result of a poorly designed roof. I bought these to replace my old ones. As soon as I thought of them, these gauges popped into my head. Those of you who have done commercial PM's will appreciate how easy it is to obtain readings without having to fish hoses through door jambs. Don't forget to pick up some low losses, as these connections are going to Having refrigerant in the air is always an issue at my facility because we can't afford it. I also have the Smans, but the larger the unit the more difficult it is to get accurate.

This is a game changer
5/5

It took me too long to pay attention to them. The rack equipment I rely upon was not working when I was working solo and I needed to be in two places at once, so I bought this. Only issue is software because one side will always check high and one side will always check low, so it will not be able to check the two superheats at the same time. There would be no problem if I could add as many probes as I desired and set each to measure whatever I wanted.

It takes only a short time

If I walk less than 30 feet away without obstructions, it drops out frequently. However, when right next to them, it seems to work quite well.
