Wire measuring 16 gauge is what I believe
These are made of silicone, and they feel like it. A very soft and flexible material that has no memory of being rolled up or anything like that. The service I received from them was excellent.
Despite its voltage rating, the insulation value for the cable is just the voltage. In this case, what counts is the current handling (15A). In theory, yes, the leads can theoretically handle a power output of 15*1500, or 22,500 watts, if you assume the role of an electrician. I think that'd be pretty

The star is deducted as a result. One is the result of my measurement. The thickness of the wire would be 28mm, and the gauge would be 14 gauge (as claimed in the questions and answers). Is 6mm thick. There will be a lot of heat from 15A to 16AWG. For the construction quality, one star is deducted. The wire is corroded with broken strands when it is brand new, but the wire seems to have been soldered with acid core solder. In addition to soldering on the wire, the clips do not need to be crimped by crimping the tabs on the clips that are there (unused). The jaws are notoriously difficult to open, as other people have said. You can open them far more wide by cutting out the back section and then pushing the plastic out from the back. It is not the coil spring that gets in your way, it is the plastic that gets in your way.
It was handy to have these- It took us just 10 minutes from the time we arrived. These test leads were used as an extension to my tests. These are the best electrical alligator clips I've ever owned. I've owned many over the years, but these are by far the best. Describe the wire as being of a good size for most low voltage applications and the clips as being very sturdy. Only one modification I had to make was to trim the pivot point back on the plastic covers so I could open them more easily. The clips are perfect in terms of strength, length, and gauge, except for that.
Although it is possible to make your own for similar prices, you cannot get them with all these great colors! PVC isn't silicone, but since they're coated with PVC, I feel that I received value for my money. My next order will be the banana plug version of the same thing for meters and power supply connections. I can't see any way anyone could go wrong with them. C'mon, I mean there's no way anyone can rebut all those pretty colors, right?.
The first thing I wanted to know was what type of insulation these jumpers were made with. Vinyl is what it is. Clips that hold tight and are less likely to slip off terminals are what I need. A short circuit or a dead battery doesn't make any sense, do they? This is a great set and I'm likely to buy a second. It's just not possible to guide angry pixies from one conductive path to another with too many conductive paths.
Alligator clips could not clamp fully closed or even open to the full extent because of the cover on the clip. In order for the clip to work as designed, I had to split the cover on both sides. I would suggest something else. Their slim, rounded shapes seem to be much better suited for handling more amps than those little skinny test leads.
