This is a good price for the quality of the leads but nothing special. The alligator clips are a step above satisfactory, but I would like to see more attention paid to them. Vinyl is the material I use for mine. Though I use them a lot, I prefer soft neoprene boot covers that are easily manipulable. I will replace the clips in the event of a worst case scenario. There is a third lead added to this purchase, so that is why this purchase was made. I am planning to hot glue magnets on the back of this model because it did not come with the magnetic backing. If you have a motor home or a big rig, you should have no issue working on a 24 volt system with your set, but I will be using it for 12 volt automotive work. However, it doesn't seem like the retractor will be able to take much abuse, which is why I am very cautious about using it. My only mistake has been underestimating the length. I have to take responsibility for that, and Since I usually find these to be a bit short for some scenarios, especially troubleshooting trailer tail lights, you may want to consider the longer set. Buying long sets is the way to go to buy from Lang!.

Is that okay? Getting these out of the tool box of my son (a diesel mechanic) was not an accident. In his mother's 1957 MGA I was setting the timing. The timing mark is under the car, so yeah you lay under the front bumper with the engine running and point the timing light up in the engine. The MGA has its battery under the back seat, like a few other cars. To power the timing light, I had to clip the cable on the fuse box in the engine compartment, but the cable was too short for that. When I found this equipment in his tool box while looking for a set of cables to power the timing light, I went into his tool box for more cables. In a nutshell, I used them to power the timing light, set the timing, put them away, and got online to discover where they were. The books can be found at Amazon. I ordered them and added them to my toolbox as soon as possible. It won't matter if I borrow his now or not since I will need them again.

I think it is a good setup for tracing down electrical problems. It allows me to stay organized when tracking them down. It is still advisable that you get a retractable test lead tool with longer reach instead of this particular tool due to the fact that it sometimes falls short of its ten foot reach, but this is all due to my own choice, since I selected the 10 foot reach. This is a good product with good quality, and it does what it is supposed to.

There is one review complaining about the vinyl boots, but for how much they cost, and to have them tangle free when you need them, they're definitely These are the 3 that I bought The magnetic is one of these and the other two are both electric.
