Is it possible to use the tlk281 with the Fluke 115?

These probes will work with test leads that have removable probes and are designed to fit the meter's one-piece leads.

What's the best way to put the new probe in?

The probe end snaps on and off with a simple snapping motion. Like a banana plug, it has a quick connect male/female arrangement. Make sure you're using the right parts when you replace them. Some DMMs have replaceable ends, while others require you to replace the entire cord. These are for the T5-series DMMs. T5 and 600- 1000 Models (possibly more, but these are the ones I'm familiar with).

It is overpriced
3/5

What's out there that will do the same job for you is fairly limited. Most off- The quality of brand duplicates is extremely low. Because of their unique design, they can only be used with standard Fluke lead tips. Without some modification, they will not fit on any of the SureGrip series lead tips. These tip extensions are, on the whole, overpriced for the quality and functionality they provide, but they are far superior to the alternatives. Another case where the brand name is more valuable than the product.

Fluke Quality and Convenience are two words that come to mind when thinking about Fluke
5/5

The Fluke test leads with banana plugs on both ends make switching between alligator clips and test probes so much easier than the fixed style leads that you have to force the clips over. In addition, it's simply a better, more dependable connection. The retractable insulators are also included in these probes. The ones that can be removed are far too easy to misplace. br>br>In this case, the extra convenience is well worth the extra cost. The "tp175e" is the same as the tp175 except that it comes with 4mm adapters for the 2mm probes and costs the same on Amazon.

It's a mess
3/5

I'm not sure how I feel about it. It stated that it would be fulfilled by Fluke, so I'm not sure where the error is. The $54 price seemed reasonable, about $12 less than purchasing directly from Fluke. But then two pairs appeared, and I'm pretty sure the packaging stated that they were PT88s. I sent them back with the option of replacing them. br>I got a replacement, but only one this time. The incorrect one is still in use. I called Fluke to make sure the model hadn't changed, and it hadn't. To cut a long story short, they appear to have made a blunder. packaged. It was only at this point that I realized the pricing for the TP88 was about right, but I wanted the TP82. It's worth noting that the TP82 comes in proper packaging. Anyway, I'll get my money back and hope to find the right one. Working with Amazon and FLuke was a breeze.

Excellent quality modular test probes! Let's get one thing straight right away
5/5

This isn't a set of probes with wires that are permanently connected. The TL175, which comes with permanently attached leads, is the version to get. These TP175E probes have a shrouded banana jack on the back end and are modular. To use these probes, you'll need a set of leads with banana plugs on both ends at the very least. The Fluke TL224 is a great example (and one that comes highly recommended). br>br>These probes are usually of the highest Fluke quality. The retractable shroud that covers the probe tips is extremely smooth and effective. It appears gimmicky at first, but once you get your hands on it, you'll see how useful it is for preventing shorting between adjacent terminals. br>br>The probe tips are 2mm and have a semi-circular shape. The tip is sharp, and the base is threaded. The TP88 pin probe adapters fit perfectly on these probes for needle sharp tips. The TP88 adapters' only flaw is that they can only handle 60VDC. br>Accessories like the (included) 4mm banana plug adapter and the (not included) shrouded alligator clips AC175, can be screwed on to the threading at the base of the probe tip. I'm not sure why you'd want to use the AC175 instead of the much better modular AC285 alligator clips, but I'm sure there's a use for it. br>br>To sum it up, these probes are a component of a modular test lead system. They are unlikely to be purchased separately from other system components (such as leads, alligator clips, hook probes, alligator extended probes, gripper probes, and so on). To be honest, buying them as part of a modular set like the TLK225 is the best way to go. In the long run, you will save money. br>br>As part of a modular test lead set, this is highly recommended!.

TwistGuard was unable to protect you
3/5

The (black) TwistGuard was defective right out of the box. I couldn't retract the plastic guard despite twisting back and forth indefinitely (and, no, I don't believe I 'forced' anything; in fact, the red test points were the first ones I tried out of the box, and they *did* work). Clearly, there are some quality control issues. br>br>Fortunately, Amazon has a generous return policy, and this product was returned and refunded almost immediately. This is a very disappointing product, especially considering the premium that comes with the "Fluke" name.

Fluke had finally nailed it! I like how these probe tips can be plugged into any banana jack cable
5/5

I wish the tips were a little smaller, but that's about it. They feel very sturdy and appear to last a lifetime. I like the idea of the 4mm screw on adapters, but I don't know where I'll put them, and I'm afraid I'll lose them.

You get what you pay for, and that is something I am grateful for
4/5

It appears to be overpriced, as with everything from Fluke, but it is well worth the money. For years, I've struggled with back probes from lesser-known manufacturers. They sag, lose their sharpness, and fall off the leads. I finally made the decision I'd been meaning to make for a long time. Simply go to Fluke and purchase the correct ones. That's what I did, and I'm pleased with the results. The only reason I gave it four stars was because one of the pins had insulation that needed to be removed. The majority of the tip was covered with it. I trimmed it down to match the other one, and it now works perfectly. After seeing how simple it is to trim back the insulation, I'm thinking about purchasing another set and trimming the insulation much further back, or removing it entirely.

tp175 adores it; To replace my tl175, I'm going to use this
5/5

The tp175s are fantastic. I needed a more versatile setup, so these test probes and a set of tl224 wires were the way to go. I have the tl175, and I love these test leads, but the tp175 gives me more flexibility by allowing me to swap probes. My tl175s came with a twistguard, which I really like. br>br>However, I did notice a difference. The tp probes have a straight needle, whereas the tl175 probes have a notch. The tp175 alligator clips are also compatible with the ac175 alligator clips. Overall, I'm a fan of these probes.
