What is the difference between this and an ESR meter?

The capacitance value is only given at a single default frequency, no resistance or reluctance are given. A parallel reluctance or resistance will be indicated by errors. Only the ESR measures equivalent series resistance in a capacitor it does not measure

It is a tool that does just what it is supposed to, but it does In addition to measuring capacitance consistently, it does so accurately as well. The kit comes with a two-short lead, a USB cable for computer connection, a nine-volt battery, an instruction manual, and a USB cable for connecting to a computer. In self-operating meters, all the readings are taken by the meter This calculator can do it for you, and will display the answer pretty The tester has slots at the bottom where you can insert small capacitors, and it has memory and other capabilities that it could possibly be part of a test suite, but I have not used it yet. In my ESR meter, I have a PEAK meter, and as much as it can test capacitors (and I love it, BTW), it isn't the most accurate or consistent for measuring capacitors (in addition, it only works with I think this complements the rest of the equipment quite nicely, and it is reasonably priced for this type of gear. The unit is highly recommended for those who need to measure all kinds of capacitors for precise work, or for people who like to reassemble.
