10 amps is the rated current.
Yes. I am very pleased with my Fluke 75 kit that I purchased.
Although the multimeter leads are rated as CAT III 1000 V, 10 A, they passed the 10,000V limit test.

This kit appears to be quite nice. One of the tips on an old Craftsman multi-tool was partially melted by me. I did have a meter. Those leads are still functional, but I wanted to swap them out for something nicer that wasn't partially melted. br>br>These are identical to the originals and fit my old meter perfectly. The alligator clips and some of the other fine point tips are a nice touch.
A Fluke model 117 multimeter was recently purchased by me. It also included a nice set of test leads. However, I discovered that they were too "fat" (too big around) in several cases to reach into some tight spaces. Probing around SMD connections in particular. This set of probes comes in a case that fits easily inside the 117 case and has some items you should be careful with so you don't prick your finger(s) and bleed on the circuit board. This is a fantastic addition.
I mean, I've felt good during the other sets. When I first opened these, I noticed a difference right away. You simply must experience them to fully comprehend; you will not be disappointed. br>br>My meter is the AstroAI TRMS 6000, and this is my main reason for reviewing it. I had a couple of sets of leads that I was testing for continuity and tapping, tapping, tapping. It's hit or miss at times. I thought I was tapping them together too quickly, and the leads were just toning every now and then. THEN I used the gold plate upgrades that came with it to attach these leads. I'll tell you what I'm saying. wow! When I tapped them together, the meter beeped quickly. That proves that the issue wasn't the sensitivity of my meter, but rather the leads. These ones with the gold plating are fantastic! They are extremely sensitive; as I previously stated, the beep beep beep came as quickly as I could tap. This demonstrates how sensitive these leads/probes are, making them extremely valuable and necessary for detecting even the tiniest changes on a circuit board or whatever you're testing. Because these are so good, I'm thinking about ordering another set as a backup. I have a back-up plan in place at all times. However, I'd like a second set of these as a "backup. " " You should purchase them. " You won't be sorry, and you'll be back to writing fantastic reviews in no time.
It was clear right away that these were high-quality leads once they were removed from the box. Everything fits snugly, and the test connection appears to be in good working order. I don't have to second-guess whether my test connection is good when I use these.
This was the most appropriate combination for my requirements. Instead of being stuck on the end of the rigid leads, the micro clips have their own short leads, which makes it easier to position them. The wire insulation is PVC, but it's a lot more flexible than you'd think. Although not as nice as true silicone wire leads, they are acceptable. Back-pinning needle points are small enough to fit the female pins of a D Sub type connector, which is convenient. Overall, for the price, I'm pleased with them.
