Questions & Answers

Is metric at the top or bottom of the list? What do the pictures show compared to what the reviews say?

The metric is at the very bottom of the list.

Are these magnetic in any way?

They are, in fact. They are not a 3xx series SS, as I had hoped. They will stick to magnets if you need to use them around them.

Is it true that the markers begin at the ruler's end/edge? What do the pictures show that the reviewers claim?

My marks began about an eighth of an inch from the end. With 20 seconds on a disk sander, I was able to fix it, and everything is now working properly.

Is there any lead in these?

Check with your local metallurgist; I'm not one, but I'm not aware of lead being used in stainless steel because of its high cost, weight, and toxicity.

The issue has been resolved
5/5

These DO NOT begin where the ruler ends. METRIC does not appear to be at the top of the list. I ordered these because the ruler started at the very end of the metal, as shown in the picture, and Metric was on the top. The ruler is also unreadable because of the 1/2 mm marks. I hate returning an $8 purchase, but I'm going to have to do so with these. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Following the publication of this review, Mr. Pen contacted me and sent me a new set of rules that are identical to the ones shown. Mr. Pen sent me a new set of rulers without my request, and they didn't charge me anything to fix the problem. Furthermore, Mr. Pen demanded nothing in return for his assistance in resolving the issue, so I decided to update this post with the new ruler set. br>br>The markings begin at the very edge and end at the top with the metric measurements. With old eyes, the first 5 centimeters obscure half of the 1/2 millimeter marks, making them difficult to read. In addition, customer service at Mr. Pen is excellent.

At first, it was good, but now it's fantastic! So, on the bottom/lower side of the rulers, the inches run left to right, which I like
5/5

Depending on which inch segment you're in, there are different fractional units of measurement within each inch segment. br>However, there was one issue: the 14" ruler was inaccurate; closer inspection revealed that it had been cut short and was off. I notified the company about the misalignment of the ruler. They offered me a refund, but I suggested just getting a replacement 14" ruler because the others were fine. I recently received a new complete set, and the new 14" ruler is precise. I appreciate the prompt response, and they even refunded my money as a courtesy! Once again, I appreciate your help.

Rulers
5/5

Only two rulers were received, and two were missing. The set was recalled by Amazon, and a replacement was sent the following day. In comparison to the previous set, which was missing two and the packaging did not appear to be 'new,' the new ones were definitely new in wrap. Overall, these appear to be excellent quality, and I'm confident I'll put them to good use. Smaller crafting will be easier with the smaller ones than with my 12" ruler. The holes also enable you to hang them out of the way if necessary. These are something I would recommend, and they're also a good deal.

Stackable rulers for 1/10th of an inch or 1/64th of an inch measurements
5/5

I have a wide variety of rulers, shapes, and templates on hand. It's difficult to find a good ruler. I bought a second set because I liked these so much. Please keep in mind that these aren't the end rulers. The rulers have no markings at all. For example, you can't set the height of a router or saw without taking the gap into account. To five decimal places, they all have a fraction to mm Conversion Table. br>br>Each ruler has a section where the tic-tac-toe marks can be found. 1/16ths, 1/32nds, and 1/64ths are the marks. If the area is between tic-tac-toe, you can measure with one ruler, depending on how precise you want to be. If you stack another one on top of it with the 32 or 64, you'll be even more precise. That is one of the reasons I adore this collection. br>br>They're all the same, only the lengths are different. The widths are uniform, making stacking a breeze. As a result, I have access to a larger scale measurement at all times. br>br>Similarly, the inverse is true. For example, on a 12-inch ruler, 1- 3 is in the 32nd position, 3 is in the 32nd position, 3 is in the 32nd position The number four is in the 64th percentile. If I'm looking for 16ths in any of those areas, I'll have to look elsewhere. Line up the tic-tac-toe with the 16ths on a stacked ruler. marks, and I'm able to get a precise measurement. br>br>I haven't written about the metric side yet, but I'm starting to use it to set up the router height and cut width. SAE makes up a small percentage of the population. We have access to an enormous number of different products. The scale of many of them is metric. I've discovered that using a metric setting on my woodworking equipment is more accurate on numerous occasions. br>On the metric side, there are two options: (1) With the tic-tac-toe, 10cm appears to be quite dense. marks. It can go as small as a tenth of a millimeter. You have the option of stacking the rulers or simply using the other end. That end will most likely never be used. I'm going to need a magnifier. I'll just use my needle gauge or steel bar set if I need that level of precision.

Rulers that can be used in a variety of situations
4/5

For $7, you can't go wrong with four metal rulers. I like how each ruler has a flush and square end so that it can be placed directly against the work for quick and accurate measurements. When they're not in use, a hole on the other end allows them to be hung up out of the way. The numbers are set off by a good heavy font that is easy to read. Three of the four rulers were bowed, so I had to deduct a star. If you press down on the middle of the ruler, it will lay flat.

Excellent value for money! They're exactly what they say they're going to be
5/5

I'll never need to buy another ruler in my life because this one is perfect in every way. br>I'll respond to two comments I came across while researching this product: "It was bowed. " and "It was bowed. " It's simple to fix; simply hold the ends and lightly press the center until it's flat. "It has sharp edges. " Because this is thin metal, this will always be an issue that takes a fraction of a second to fix. The edges are nicely rounded, but I did find that a couple of them could be improved with a little filing. I used the same file that I use to trim the toes of my dog. A metal fingernail file will almost certainly suffice. I had the option of getting out of my chair and going to my shop to get my regular file. In the end, it's a simple fix. br>I discarded the plastic cases for each file, but that is a matter of personal preference. These could, in my opinion, be eliminated to save money. Plastics should be avoided as much as possible, in my opinion. I also got rid of my old plastic ruler, which was completely useless in every way. I'm not sure how I'll use the mustache transfer that came with it, but it's too cool to throw away.
