Please twist the switch with more force than usual, as the dry lube can sometimes stop it from moving. If it still doesn't work, please contact us to file a warranty claim so that we can send you a replacement right away.
On a flat surface, this method works best. You could use vice grips or clamps to secure a flat piece of thick steel to the outboard's cavitation plate or fin, then attach the magnet to it.
Hello. It's possible to change out the tip. Please take a look at our DIPR-related resources. On Amazon, there is a one-tip set. I hope this information is useful to you.

Dial ok. I'm giving it a B+ for the most part. br>br>I didn't give a damn about the dial, and I only use it for rouging in to get close, then switching to a test indicator when I'm sure. FWIW, I tested this dial against a much more expensive dial and it matched the high end dial to within a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of a ten Over the course of the journey, the number 001 is used. I'm not sure I can trust it to last, so I use high-end indicators where it counts. br>br>The foundation is just as strong as one that costs four times as much. Under the force of a normal indicator, the arm locks down tightly and does not flex. The magnet isn't quite 176 pounds and isn't quite as powerful as the much more expensive base, but it's more than adequate. I'm going to order some more bases (without the dial). br>br>The adjusting screw is located in an awkward location near the indicator, making it difficult to access depending on how tight your setup is. But it does the job, and that's how this type of base works. br>br>If you want a good solid base and can work with a rough dial, this is the one to get. If you only need a base, it's available on Amazon, and you can get two for the price of one name brand, which is exactly what I'm doing.
The instrument is quite nice. It works well and has a good amount of weight to it, giving it a high-end feel. It's packaged in a ridiculous case. Don't these businesses realize that once the mount is screwed on, it is never removed? Check out the "calibration" paper that comes with it as well. The gage's serial number did not correspond to the paper's serial number. lmao. In fact, I would have been surprised if it had! However, I would purchase again.
I doubt you can get a better deal for the price; I used it to change gears in my Jeep and it always returned to the same value; I had no problems. The fully adjustable arm that locks all joints in place with a single knob tightening is fantastic, and the build quality is far better than I expected for the price; I highly recommend it.
It has the typical high and low reading boundary markers, as well as a smooth outer ring that makes setting the reference zero a breeze. The ability to set the location with a single knob is particularly appealing to me. It includes a blown plastic case with additional padding for the instrument. For the price, it's a great deal.
This should have been done earlier. The readings on the front and back of the table are shown in the image. It makes me happy.
To begin, the product arrived quickly and in good condition, as it always does. The plastic case is exactly what you'd expect for the price; it will keep the device safe and clean, but it isn't particularly strong or attractive. br>br>The product looks great, the markings are legible, and the dial rotates smoothly but sticks a little, so you don't have to worry about it moving while you're using it. In the plastic case, there's a spare backpiece with a piece that can be used to secure the device to objects. br>br>I've used the device to calibrate both the table saw and the fence for my table saw blade. It was a total success. br>br>I prefer analog to digital measurement devices because I only use them once or twice a year and don't want to deal with dead batteries. Without a doubt, I would purchase from them again.
I was in desperate need of a good 0-. I'm replacing a 25-year-old 1 inch dial indicator with a more expensive one. I needed a place to store it while traveling, so this comes with a nice case that has rave reviews. None of my other indicators have plain backs. So I went ahead and reattached the lug. The nice case is now useless because the lug is back on! br>br>There's no way it'll fit inside because there's not enough room to cut a slot in the bottom for the lug. br>br>The indicator is attractive and functional, but there is no storage case.
For personal use at home, I'd always wanted one of these. For my occasional use, the big-name brands were too expensive. I compared mine to a high-end machinist's unit and found that they were both accurate. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but I'm happy with it so far.
