Having worked as a machinist for many years, I have earned the rank of journeyman. It's an old caliper I had, B&W and OC Included are the U. S. and Swiss. There is no better deal than these. The smoothness of my set is similar to any I've felt before, and the repeats are fantastic. I am not yet sure how durable they will be, but I expect them to last quite a while. It is very difficult to beat this product, so I'm happy to say that I am tired of writing poor reviews.
It was surprising to find a clockwise dial caliper that was so high in quality! I think it's exceptionally well made and it's an excellent value for money. My employer is not Starrett or Brown & Sharpe, I've worked as a machinist since 1978 The knives are sharp, though they are as good as the Mitutoyo set I have for three times the price. So far we have not had any problem with them. You should be able to get an idea of how long they'll last within a month or less, depending on how much you use them. You are going to be pleasantly surprised today to find out you got your money's worth from this product!.
Although I probably spent that much on them over the years, I could not afford some of the high end ones that cost a few hundred dollars. The accuracy of this one is better than any of the others, but you don't have to spend a hundred dollars to get it. The next one I will get will be just like it if anything happens to You've taken the time to pay attention to every detail that makes this a superb addition to my tools.
As a student in machining, I bought them for use in the classroom. As far as I know, they have proven repeatable and accurate. When I compare them to readings from a micrometer or optical comparator, the readings are usually accurate to the nearest tenth of a percent. ", or "001". Although these calipers aren't as smooth as those on more expensive models, they are clearly superior to those on the more affordable models. It would be beneficial to update my review if they fail, but as long as they hold up, they are good.
There is a notable difference between this caliper and the Mitutoyo 505-A I returned a dial caliper (China) of 742 mm. Everything on it, including the slide and cover, is made of metal. According to the seller, it is shockproof (I have no plans to test it). I have measured some gage pins and it is very accurate. It runs smoothly, returning to zero every time. It remains to be seen how long this phase will last. My intention was to use it for general purposes. The slide has a lock screw to prevent it from coming off, and the bezel has a lock to prevent it from slipping. It's similar to the Mitutoyo case except that it has a foam lining on the bottom. (It would be nice if it also had foam on the top. ).
Among the positives It has a nice balance and is made of metal. I was very pleased with the dial gauge, which is very smooth and gives repeatable readings. A precise finish has been applied to the edges of the calipers. Each measurement is held in place by a lock screw. We can calibrate your device in no time at all. (Dust particles on the caliper do 1) The plastic case is inexpensive, but protects the device well. The negatives are Turning the thumb screw is easy, but it seems to be a little looser than other units. Even though the depth gauge isn't very accurate, it still proves Those who are looking for a home D- should highly consider it The person who wants a good caliper but is not willing to pay professional price.
The second tool I use to turn a clockwise. I have tried digital photography, but I am not a fan. The one I use works smoothly and zeros when I close it. Batteries won't expire, and no buttons need to be turned on and off. It is an enormous improvement over the stuff sold by HF. For my aging eyes, I would like to see some kind of brighter contrast on the face.
The product is certainly worth the money spent on it. Although I am not sure about absolute measurement, I know that dial calipers are mostly used for relative measurements, and this one seems to work well. If I measure something with this at 6 inches and I need to make sure something will fit over it by , I would measure it this way. The thickness of a human hair is . 003 inches I nailed it and it's Although I haven't verified the initial measurement of 6 inches is accurate, I generally use a micrometer when taking that type of measurement.
