Yes. Press FUNC once after turning the dial to the diode setting. Beep is a very loud sound. For the price, this is an excellent meter.
The really cheap meters are the best for a hobbyist because they will be tested on something that will eventually ruin the meter. br>This meter is classified as an intermediate meter, meaning it is above the hobbyist level but below the professional level. No, purchasing a Krug does not entitle you to work as a professional.
Battery voltage: 9 volts It is included in the package. You'll need to set up the system.
It has proven to be extremely beneficial to me! I had previously ordered one, but it had burned up after only two uses for some reason. This has been ideal for everything I've done so far!

This was purchased to replace my cheap 30-year-old DVM, which I had dropped far too many times. This fulfills my needs in terms of functionality. For my vehicle or guitar projects, I'll primarily use this to check for voltage, resistance, and continuity. If I need something more precise, I turn to my Fluke meter - For me, that's a never-never situation. Advantages: br>br> 1) Two sets of leads are included. Alligator clips are included in one set. You can take one from each set and clip the alligator to a grounding point (which my old cheap one lacked). My Fluke is bulky and has interchangeable ends. br>2) Its small size makes it easy to store in any toolbox. br>On the downside, there are a couple of minor flaws: 1) The leads are a little short; they're about 2 feet long (which is adequate), but I'd prefer them to be a foot longer. br>2) The continuity (diode) test function beeps, but only when you press the function button; otherwise, the beeps are disabled. br>3) The automatic The ranging feature is a little sluggish. It takes just over a second to get a consistent reading when measuring resistance.
The Crenova was my first choice because of its size and price, but I was surprised to find it such a good deal. The accuracy is excellent; The display is a good size, and the backlight comes in handy at times. I've only had it for a few days, but it'll be added to my road service when needed. The test leads are of good quality, and the alligator leads are an added bonus. Jaws are good and tight, and they keep a connection in place. If you do a lot of testing on a board, having the ability to clip your common lead to a (-) is extremely useful. The () lead can be easily moved from point to point thanks to the () pad or strip. Adjustments and results can be easily monitored when using both alligator leads. Sure, I have plenty of alligator leads and the like, but the maker of this meter saw the value in including them and providing good ones. If you service equipment or are a home owner looking for a dependable meter for hacking home projects, this meter is a great value. Oh yeah - There is a battery included.
Now I'm going to change this review to say that this company bribes you to write reviews by promising you gifts that you never get, which is bad business.
To begin with, this multimeter does exactly what it says it will, which is a plus. It was ready to use right away. I'm grateful to the supplier for providing the 9-volt battery for it as well! The probes themselves are of good quality. They feel substantial, rather than small and flimsy, and I'm confident that my large, clumsy hands will be able to use them effectively without dropping them. br>br>Then there's the save. My son's battery-operated slot car track had broken down. I dismantled everything in an attempt to figure out what was wrong, but there was nothing wrong. I replaced all of the batteries, but it still didn't work. I was able to trace the voltage from the beginning of the power train all the way to the end after receiving this multimeter, and I discovered a broken connection. The track was back in action after a quick fix. I wouldn't have been able to do it if it hadn't been for the meter. And spending $20 on a meter was a lot less expensive than purchasing a new slot car track! br>br>Many thanks to Crenovo for a fantastic product that helped me save money. br>br>In addition, the company has contacted me via email to ensure that I am satisfied with my purchase. Customer service is outstanding.
I believe I received a defective unit after much effort. I've spent my entire career using meters, but I'm stumped as to how the resistance function works. It's supposed to be simple, but it doesn't work as expected. The resistance value does not stay on the screen and continually resets to zero. I tested the fuse with a known good Harbor Freight ultra-cheapo model and got a consistent resistance reading. There are gaps in the instructions. So I find out one day after the return period has expired, and I already know I'm not getting a refund because the seller boy is aware of my race. That's not something I'm going to mess with.
This meter was purchased for use in electronic projects at home. It works well, and the leads are well-protected when not in use. They also fit snugly into the meter. I'm considering getting a second one for field use! This meter is extremely attractive.
